Job Description – Business Operations Manager (F&B) Company: Abdullah Al Othaim Food Co. Location: Riyadh, Saudi Arabia (On-site) Employment Type: Full-time Seniority Level: Senior level Function: Operations Food and Beverage Manager Role Summary The Business Operations Manager (F&B) is responsible for driving operational excellence and commercial performance across the Food & Beverage portfolio. This role leads day-to-day operations, improves guest experience, ensures compliance and cost control, and delivers revenue growth through disciplined execution, process optimization, and cross-functional coordination. The role partners with Finance, Procurement, HR, Projects, Marketing, and Asset/Property teams to ensure consistent standards, scalable operations, and profitable expansion. Key Responsibilities Operations & Performance Lead and oversee daily F&B operations across assigned venues/brands, ensuring service quality, hygiene, and speed of execution. Translate business targets into weekly/monthly operating plans, KPIs, and action trackers; monitor performance and drive corrective actions. Establish and enforce SOPs for front-of-house and back-of-house operations, shift coverage, and operational controls. Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity, reduce waste, and improve customer satisfaction. Commercial Growth & Business Development Identify growth opportunities (menu engineering, pricing, upselling, delivery/aggregators, promotions, customer retention). Partner with Marketing to execute campaigns, seasonal launches, and brand activations aligned to commercial objectives. Support new store/brand launches from readiness planning through go-live, including staffing, training, and operational setup. Develop performance benchmarks and competitive insights to improve positioning and profitability. Cost Control & Financial Discipline Own cost management across COGS, labor, utilities, and operating expenses; implement controls to protect margins. Review P&L performance, investigate variances, and deliver improvement plans with measurable outcomes. Ensure accurate inventory practices (ordering, receiving, storage, stock counts, variance investigations). Collaborate with Procurement to optimize supplier performance, pricing, SLAs, and product quality. People Leadership Lead, coach, and develop store/restaurant managers and supervisors; establish a performance culture and clear accountability. Ensure workforce planning, training compliance, succession coverage, and effective onboarding aligned with business needs. Maintain strong employee engagement while enforcing discipline, standards, and safe working practices. Governance, Safety & Compliance Ensure compliance with Saudi regulations and internal policies, including food safety, municipality requirements, and HSE standards. Lead incident response and corrective actions; maintain audit readiness across all locations. Partner with Quality and Risk stakeholders to manage inspections, hygiene standards, and preventive controls. Success Metrics (KPIs) Sales growth and like-for-like performance Gross margin and COGS optimization Labor productivity and scheduling efficiency Guest satisfaction (NPS/CSAT), service time, complaint resolution Inventory variance and waste reduction Compliance audit results and incident rates On-time, on-budget launch readiness for new locations Qualifications & Experience Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Hospitality, Operations, or related field (MBA is a plus).6–10+ years of progressive experience in F&B operations, multi-site management, or hospitality operations. Strong commercial acumen with hands-on experience managing P&L, cost control, and performance improvement. Demonstrated leadership of large teams across shifts and high-volume environments. Strong knowledge of food safety, quality standards, and operational governance.
