Job Purpose:
The IT Project Manager is responsible for planning, executing, and delivering IT projects in alignment with business objectives. The role ensures projects are completed on time, within scope, and within budget while coordinating resources, managing risks, and maintaining effective stakeholder communication.
Key Accountabilities:
Manage end-to-end IT projects from initiation to closure, including scope definition, planning, execution, monitoring, and delivery. Develop detailed project plans, schedules, budgets, and resource allocation plans. Coordinate cross-functional teams, including IT, business units, and external vendors. Track project progress, risks, issues, and dependencies, and implement corrective actions when required. Ensure IT solutions meet business requirements, quality standards, and security policies. Prepare and present project status reports to stakeholders and senior management. Manage change requests and ensure proper impact assessment and approvals. Ensure project documentation, knowledge transfer, and handover to operations are completed. Support continuous improvement of project management practices and methodologies.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field. Project Management certifications (PMP, or equivalent).
Minimum Experience:
• +5 years of experience in IT projects or business systems projects.
Job-Specific Skills:
Strong knowledge of IT project management methodologies (Waterfall, Agile, Hybrid). Solid understanding of IT infrastructure, applications, and systems integration. Strong stakeholder management and communication skills. Excellent planning, risk management, and problem-solving skills. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Experience using project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Jira, or similar). Strong leadership capability to manage cross-functional teams and vendors across complex IT project lifecycles.
