Job Summary:
The Logistics Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily transportation operations and managing the company's vehicle fleet. This role involves ensuring efficient and safe delivery schedules, coordinating vehicle maintenance, managing driver performance, and optimizing transportation routes to maximize efficiency and reduce costs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Daily Transportation Operations:
- Supervise and organize delivery schedules to ensure they are executed as planned.
- Fleet Management:
- Coordinate vehicle maintenance schedules, ensure vehicles are in optimal operating condition, and enforce adherence to safety standards.
- Driver Management:
- Monitor driver performance, conduct training sessions to enhance driving skills, and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Route Optimization:
- Analyze and plan transportation routes to reduce travel time and minimize fuel consumption.
- Interdepartmental Coordination:
- Liaise with other departments to ensure transportation activities align with overall company needs.
- Documentation and Record Keeping:
- Maintain accurate records of transportation operations, fuel consumption, and vehicle maintenance status.
- Regulatory Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with all applicable traffic laws and local/national transportation regulations.

Requirements and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Transportation Management, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
- A minimum of 3-5 years of hands-on experience in logistics or fleet management.
- In-depth knowledge of transportation laws and safety regulations.
- Strong organizational and leadership skills, with the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
