Business Processes Director

Job Summary:


The job holder is responsible for overseeing King Salman International Airport Development Company (KSIADC)’s corporate excellence framework and business process development management. The Business Process Director will ensure an operational improvement through conducting process re-engineering in order to secure better quality results and continuous improvements within KSIADC.


Key Responsibilities:


Strategic process Design:

  • Develop and implement streamlined business processes aligned with the department's strategic objectives and corporate goals.
  • Identify gaps in current strategy execution processes and propose enhancements to ensure operational excellence.


Process governance:

  • Establish a governance framework for strategic processes, ensuring adherence to best practices and compliance with organizational policies.
  • Define and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for business processes to measure effectiveness and alignment with strategic goals.


Alignment with Strategic Objectives:

  • Collaborate with senior leadership to ensure that departmental processes support broader organizational objectives.
  • Develop frameworks to translate corporate strategy into actionable and measurable operational plans.


Cross-Functional Collaboration:

  • Act as a liaison between the Strategy Department and other functional teams to align processes with organizational priorities.
  • Facilitate inter-departmental coordination for seamless execution of strategic initiatives.


Process Optimization:

  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives to optimize the department's strategic planning and execution processes.
  • Leverage data-driven insights and best practices to enhance decision-making and operational efficiency.


Documentation and Standardization:

  • Develop standardized processes and procedures for strategy formulation, implementation, and monitoring.
  • Ensure all strategic processes are well-documented and accessible for audit, training, and compliance purposes.


Strategic Risk Management:

  • Identify and mitigate risks associated with the execution of strategic processes.
  • Develop contingency plans to address potential challenges and ensure business continuity.


Regulatory and Tariff Determination:

  • Understand and analyze the tariff determination process for airport services and facilities, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards while optimizing the airport's revenue model.
  • Lead the tariff determination framework for the Airport, ensuring accurate preparation of the first tariff filing. Oversee the submission of aeronautical tariffs to Regulator for review and obtain approval for the same.
  • Liaison with the regulator, ensuring smooth and productive discussions on tariff-related matters. Lead discussions on regulatory compliance and advocate for the airport’s position on various tariff and regulatory issues.
  • Contribute to the development of the Strategic Management General Department’s strategic plan in line with KSIADC’s strategy
  • Develop a Corporate Excellence Department business plan in line with strategic plans and directions
  • Develop Corporate Excellence Department performance objectives and indicators and continuously monitor progress toward business plan
  • Ensure the proper development of the Strategic Excellence Department’s framework, methodologies, techniques and principles


Organization, Resources, and Monitoring:


  • Ensure that Corporate Excellence Department business plan is well communicated and understood at all levels
  • Optimize resources and ensure Corporate Excellence Department organization is efficient and provide recommendations for improvement
  • Develop Corporate Excellence Department yearly budget ensuring alignment to plans and needs
  • Develop processes ensuring all activities are set and stakeholders identified
  • Support implementation of control system
  • Take business decisions and escalate strategic decisions to higher positions when required


Operational:


  • Monitor development/update of corporate excellence strategy, quality objectives, and self-assessment methodology to ensure achievement of defined objectives
  • Support in Board committee reporting
  • Oversee the assessment of operational processes in coordination with relevant stakeholders to identify gaps, recommend improvements, and meet quality and excellence standards
  • Monitor and follow up on corporate excellence programs progress and results in order to recommend corrective actions if needed
  • Oversee analysis of process operational KPIs in order to evaluate the achievement of processes quality and performance objectives
  • Ensure development of quality and operational performance reports for each activity in order to highlight findings, corrective actions, and lessons learnt


Qualifications & Experience:


  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering or in any related field
  • Master’s degree is preferable
  • A minimum of 8 years of experience with at least 4 years of experience in a managerial role
  • CPA or equivalent
