Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly competent and experienced Engineer Site (Electrical) to manage and oversee the execution of electrical works on construction sites. The ideal candidate will ensure that all electrical systems are installed and tested according to project specifications, safety standards, and timelines. Experience in substation projects, as well as prior experience in the Gulf region or Saudi Arabia, is highly desirable. Professional registration with an Engineering Council is mandatory.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Site Supervision and Management:

• Oversee all on-site electrical work to ensure compliance with technical specifications, safety regulations, and project deadlines.
• Inspect electrical installations, including wiring, transformers, switchgear, and power distribution systems, to maintain quality standards.
• Provide technical guidance and problem-solving support to site teams during project execution.

1. Project Coordination:

• Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure seamless integration of electrical works with other disciplines.
• Manage site activities related to materials, resources, and manpower for electrical installations.
• Address any design or technical issues that arise during construction and recommend solutions.

1. Substation Projects (Preferred):

• Manage and supervise the electrical scope of substation projects, including power systems, protection systems, and control systems.
• Ensure proper installation and testing of substation components such as transformers, switchgear, and relay panels.
• Collaborate with civil and mechanical teams to ensure smooth execution of substation projects.

1. Testing and Commissioning:

• Conduct testing and commissioning of electrical systems to ensure operational reliability and efficiency.
• Prepare testing documentation and reports, highlighting any issues and recommending corrective actions.

1. Compliance and Quality Assurance:

• Ensure all electrical works comply with local and international codes, standards, and safety regulations.
• Monitor and maintain quality control measures throughout the project lifecycle.
• Liaise with government authorities, clients, and stakeholders to secure necessary approvals and certifications.

1. Documentation and Reporting:

• Maintain accurate records of site activities, including progress reports, technical documentation, and material usage logs.
• Prepare and submit daily, weekly, and monthly reports to the project manager on project status.

1. Health and Safety:

• Enforce strict adherence to workplace safety standards during all electrical site activities.
• Conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation measures to minimize workplace hazards.

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Education:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited institution.
• Experience:
• 7–14 years of hands-on experience in the construction industry, with a focus on electrical systems and site management.
• Experience in substation projects is highly preferred.
• Prior experience in the Gulf region or Saudi Arabia is advantageous.
• Certification:
• Must be registered with an Engineering Council (e.g., Saudi Council of Engineers or Pakistan Engineering Council).
