Finance Operations Lead

Job Summary:

We are seeking a proactive and skilled Financial & Operations Manager to lead financial planning, budgeting, and operational efficiency for our creative AVL company. This role requires someone with a strong foundation in financial management, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to identify opportunities while ensuring profitability and competitiveness in the market. The ideal candidate will also oversee employee management, fostering a culture of accountability and growth, and contribute to the overall strategic direction of the company.

 

Key Responsibilities:

inancial reporting (e.g., preparing financial statements, balance sheets, P&L reports)

● Budgeting and forecasting (e.g., creating annual budgets, cash flow management)

● Tax compliance (e.g., ensuring VAT, Zakat, and other tax filings are accurate)

● Internal controls (e.g., monitoring financial policies to prevent fraud)

● Audit coordination (e.g., working with internal and external auditors)

● Payroll oversight (if applicable)

● Liaison with banks and regulatory authorities.

Temporary Staff Financial Management

● Oversee and track petty cash expenditures with the technical team.

● Maintain detailed records and files for all temporary hires during events.

● Develop a structured payment system for event-based staff to ensure timely and accurate payouts.

● Monitor and analyze payments to avoid overpayments or discrepancies.

● Assess the financial and performance history of temporary hires to identify potential full-time candidates.

Financial Planning & Analysis

● Develop and oversee annual budgeting and forecasting processes.

● Analyze financial performance and provide strategic recommendations.

● Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.

● Conduct variance analysis (actual vs. budget) and cost control measures.

Accounting & Financial Reporting

● Ensure timely and accurate preparation of financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow).

● Oversee bookkeeping, journal entries, and reconciliation processes.

● Maintain compliance with IFRS (International Financial Reporting Standards) or other applicable standards.

● Monitor company expenditures and implement cost-saving strategies.

Taxation & Compliance

● Ensure compliance with Saudi tax laws, including VAT, Zakat, and corporate tax filings.

● Work closely with auditors for annual financial audits.

● Maintain regulatory compliance with GAZT (General Authority of Zakat & Tax) and MISA (Ministry of Investment Saudi Arabia).

● Liaise with government authorities regarding tax or financial regulations.

● Treasury & Cash Flow Management

● Manage company cash flow and working capital to ensure financial stability.

● Develop financial strategies for investment, liquidity, and asset management.

● Maintain relationships with banks and financial institutions.

● Payroll & Employee Financial Matters

● Oversee payroll processing to ensure timely salary disbursement.

● Ensure compliance with Saudi labor laws related to employee benefits and compensation.

● Supervise employee expense reimbursements and petty cash management.

Internal Controls & Risk Management

● Establish and maintain strong internal financial controls to prevent fraud.

● Develop risk mitigation strategies and ensure all financial transactions are secure.

● Conduct internal audits and improve financial workflows.

Leadership & Team Collaboration

● Lead and develop the finance team (if applicable).

● Work closely with the CEO, department heads, and external auditors.

● Provide financial guidance to senior management on key business decisions.

ERP & Financial Systems Management

● Ensure proper use and maintenance of ERP software (SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks, etc.).

 

● Implement automation solutions for financial reporting and tracking.

 

 

Qualifications: Required:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration.
  • Arabic and English Fluency Advanced Level Mandatory.
    Solid foundational knowledge of financial principles, budgeting, and pricing strategies.
  • Strong analytical and decision-making skills with a keen eye for detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to manage and support employees effectively.
  • A fast learner with a proactive, can-do attitude.
  • Ability to adapt to a dynamic and creative work environment.
Preferred:
  • Experience in AVL, events, or creative industries.
  • Knowledge of Saudi regulations, including VAT, zakat, and labor laws.
  • Certifications like CPA, CMA, or CFA are a plus but not mandatory.
