Role Overview:
The Category Manager – Beauty will be responsible for overseeing the development, growth, and overall performance of the Beauty category within the company. This role requires a strategic thinker with deep knowledge of the beauty market, trends, and consumer behavior. The Category Manager will be tasked with driving product assortment, pricing strategies, vendor relationships, and marketing initiatives to ensure the category meets sales, margin, and growth targets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute a strategic plan for the Beauty category, aligned with company objectives.
- Curate and manage a diverse product assortment to meet customer needs.
- Build and maintain strong vendor relationships, negotiating favorable terms and ensuring high-quality products.
- Set competitive pricing and execute promotional campaigns to drive sales and customer engagement.
- Monitor sales performance, margins, and inventory to identify growth opportunities.
- Collaborate with Marketing, E-commerce, and Operations teams to execute integrated campaigns and ensure product availability.
- Stay informed on beauty trends and apply insights to product selection and strategy.
- Manage the category budget and ensure profitability through cost control and efficient operations.
What You’ll Need:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field; Master’s degree is a plus.
- 5+ years of experience in category or product management, preferably in Beauty or Retail.
- Proven track record of driving category sales and profitability.
- Strong negotiation and vendor management skills.
- Knowledge of beauty trends, consumer behavior, and market dynamics.
- Excellent project management and multitasking abilities in a fast-paced environment.
- Results-driven, with strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
