Key Responsibilities:
Guest Engagement & Service Excellence:
- Welcome guests warmly and professionally, recognizing IHG Rewards Club members and returning guests.
- Efficiently manage the check-in and check-out process, ensuring guests are smoothly settled into their rooms.
- Provide helpful information about hotel services, room locations, and local attractions to enhance the guest experience.
- Respond promptly and courteously to phone calls, guest messages, and inquiries, offering solutions and assistance where needed.
- Maximize revenue opportunities through upselling rooms and hotel services.
- Ensure guest preferences are recorded and applied to offer a personalized stay.
Operational Efficiency & Compliance:
- Adhere to hotel policies, local regulations, and health and safety standards to maintain a safe and compliant environment.
- Accurately process payments through cash, credit cards, and other methods, following hotel procedures.
- Manage guest safe-deposit boxes and other valuable services with care and attention to detail.
- Handle guest complaints with professionalism and follow service recovery guidelines to ensure satisfaction.
Team Collaboration & Support:
- Collaborate with other hotel departments to ensure guests' needs are met, from special requests to room changes.
- Escalate unresolved issues or requests to management for further action and follow-up.
- Perform additional duties, such as conducting room tours and providing concierge services when required.
Qualifications & Experience:
Education:
- A high school diploma or equivalent is required; a diploma in hotel management or related field is preferred.
Experience:
- A minimum of one year in a front desk or guest service role is strongly preferred.
- Familiarity with hotel property management systems (Opera/Fidelio) is a plus, but not mandatory.
Skills & Abilities:
- Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with guests and colleagues.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and general computer skills.
- Problem-solving and multitasking abilities to address guest needs efficiently.
- Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
