About the Role:
Manage end-to-end maintenance at branches, developing and implementing maintenance schedules, analyzing equipment performance data, and establishing a centralized inventory management system to optimize inventory levels. Ensure efficient and effective maintenance operations, minimize downtime, enhance equipment reliability, and optimize inventory management to support the Company overall objectives.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES & ACTIVITIES
Maintenance
- Oversee the maintenance of all branch silos, equipment, and internal transportation systems.
- Develop and implement planned and corrective maintenance schedules to minimize downtime and ensure optimal performance.
- Coordinate with maintenance teams in branches to ensure that scheduled and non-scheduled maintenance and repair activities are performed to the highest standards of safety and quality.
- Collaborate with Operations Planning to provide real-time updates on maintenance-related issues that impact operations.
- Analyse equipment performance data to identify trends and proactively address potential issues.
Inventory Management
Implement a centralized inventory management system to track spare parts and chemical stocks in real-time across branches.
Analyse local demand, stock levels, and potential surplus or shortages at branches to optimize inventory levels.
Collaborate with branches to align local inventory practices with centralized optimization strategies.
Coordinate with operational teams to ensure the availability of spare parts and chemicals for maintenance activities by aligning inventory management strategies with operational plans.
Collaborate with the General Procurement department to incorporate inventory needs into the procurement plan, assist in defining inventory-related terms and conditions, and ensure timely deliveries in accordance with inventory requirements.
Monitor supplier contract compliance, address discrepancies, and support contract administration processes.
Assist Maintenance & Engineering Director to generate regular reports on inventory performance to facilitate continuous improvement and support strategic decision-making.
Equipment Performance Analysis
Collect and analyse data on equipment performance, downtime, and repair costs, including tracking equipment reliability metrics, mean time between failures and mean time to repair.
Identify trends and patterns in equipment failures and develop strategies to address them, such as conducting root cause analysis and implementing corrective measures to prevent similar failures in the future.
Utilize predictive maintenance techniques to anticipate and prevent equipment breakdowns, including implementing condition-based monitoring, vibration analysis, or thermal imaging to detect early signs of equipment degradation or impending failures.
Implement condition monitoring systems to track equipment health and performance, including setting up sensors, collecting real-time data, and using predictive analytics to identify potential issues before they escalate.
Collaborate with operations and engineering teams to optimize equipment performance, including reviewing equipment operating parameters, optimizing maintenance schedules, and implementing equipment modifications or upgrades based on performance analysis.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field
- Minimum of 8+ years of relevant experience, out of which 3 years in a people Management role. experience with heavy machinery, production lines or related fields
- Fluency in English (written and spoken).
