The role holder is responsible for delivering key asset management functions to support development and implementation of the rolling stock asset management plan. The role holder is also responsible to oversee the development and implementation of work plans, programs, and projects to support delivery of cost-effective rollingstock fleet assets.

Department: Rolling Stock Maintenance - Passenger

Responsible for:

• Review the reliability, availability, maintainability, and safety of existing assets and arrange action plans when needed.
• Reviews configuration changes from an asset whole of life perspective and leads configuration management process continuous improvement initiatives.
• Inspect and report rolling stock physical structures to enable optimum assignment of maintenance plans, asset tracking and on-time maintenance of equipment.
• Monitor the master data related to existing, new, and disposed assets to optimize data integrity and reduce any associated business risks.
• Supports outgoing fleet retirement activities and optimum set retirement sequencing with consideration to asset condition, performance, and maintenance demand.
• Ensures adherence of all assets with the established international, SAR &TGA standards
• Liaises with systems engineer to work on the established solutions for optimal life-expectancy of SAR’s assets.
• Manage and monitor the modification and enhancement projects.
• Prepare a scope of work for all new projects.
• Oversees asset management processes and procedures to ensure proper implementation

Requirements:

• Education: Mechanical or industrial Engineering.
• Years of experience: Minimum 5 Years of similar field.
• Must have knowledge of:

- Asset management system (Maximo)

-Maintenance knowledge

-Standards and compliance

-Process and procedures

-Audit (QC and QA)

-Asset Life cycle

-Finance knowledge (Certificate or Courses)
