Product Manager

2. JOB PURPOSE

To manage and deliver EMKAN projects/programs by maturing and to develop and improve operational policies and procedures in line with EMKAN’s requirements and strategy.


3. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

Managerial Accountabilities (Common according to the managerial level)

Corporate Strategy

As a member of the Leadership Team, contribute to the broader development of EMKAN vision, mission and strategy to ensure the organization achieves its short, medium, and long-term objectives.

Lead the development of the Digital & Products department strategy for the assigned function, ensuring its alignment with the broader objectives of the organization.

Ensure that the strategy is translated into annual operational business plans for EMKAN departments and that performance is monitored annually to ensure business plans are in line with the overall strategy.

Leadership

Build and lead a motivated, engaged and competent manpower throughout the function, by setting priorities and objectives, managing performance, and providing ongoing feedback and coaching to meet the divisional challenges and goals.

Serve as a role model for the division to ensure employees’ awareness and commitment to EMKAN’s vision, mission, values, EMKAN fundamentals and corporate strategy to establish a highly engaged and motivated manpower, and continuously improve performance.

Champion the process of effective leadership to manage direct reports’ performance, recruitment and development, and to raise their awareness towards the mission, vision, strategy and values to ensure high level commitment towards EMKAN while raising levels of engagement and competence.

Stakeholder Management

Maintain high levels of trust and understanding with key internal and external stakeholders to promote full compliance with industry regulations and promote broader understanding of EMKAN interests and practices.

People Management

Oversee employee performance and development by assigning performance targets and development objectives at least on an annual basis.

Oversee the people management process to ensure formal and informal feedback are regularly provided on a timely basis, to ensure that all work is carried out in an efficient manner and in accordance with set targets.

Reporting

Maintain the confidentiality of information that they have access to or came across during their employment at EMKAN.

Functional Accountabilities (Job Specific)

Product Change Activities

Execute all digital change activities and provide strong collaboration on other business change activities were requested to ensure the alignment against holistic strategic drivers and seek a commonality of approach, process and documentation.

Product Delivery

  • Handle the production of comprehensive project plans and documentation to enable the project to be managed against a clear set of defined deliverables and milestones.
  • Perform the monitoring, measurement, review and update of project process, adjust project plans and implement remedial plans and informing all relevant parties.
  • Conduct an evaluation of the project and any follow-on action recommendations as required.

Project Management and Development

Manage and oversee all aspects of multiple simultaneous fast-paced projects with multinational distributed teams.

Design and maintain project vision, project working standards, and agreements.

Develop project roadmap, release plan, resource allocation, funding request, communication plan, risks and issues management plan, test plan, and defect management plan.

Manage all communications with different teams to make sure project activities are on-going and delivered on time.

Manage the understanding of the functions to ensure identification of the issues and to solve it.

Track, update, and communicate project status in a proactive manner as it relates to project progress, budget/cost, resources, change requests, issues, risks, and risk mitigation plans.

Manage the business expectations throughout the project lifecycle.

Change Management

Lead the communication with the vendors, manage and approve the change requests.

Manage the change management streams with Al Rajhi Bank and raise a ticket in order to make changes and follow-up and discuss the design with the Bank.

Activities and Teamwork

Organize and supervise the activities and work of a team of subordinates to ensure that all work within a specific area of activity is carried out in an efficient and compliant manner.

Processes and Documentation

Set up and maintain, in collaboration with other senior Service stakeholders’ processes and documentations to enable swift and smooth delivery of change projects including due diligence on downstream support and longer-term operational running of new / updated services.

Ensure that appropriate project documentation and deliverables are clearly defined and delivered.

Continuous Improvement

Work closely with Senior Management Team to drive forward the department’s value proposition, performance and reputation, the company Strategy formation and subsequent delivery and continuous improvement of PMO processes and wider interactions.

Contribute to the identification of opportunities for continuous improvement of systems, processes and practices taking into account ‘international best practice’, improvement of business processes, cost reduction and productivity improvement.

Define solutions that fulfil business requirements in alignment with business stakeholders.

Oversee and facilitate the communication between the functions for example Finance and IT or information security and IT, and assure the business relationship management with the department and functions.

Performance and Trainings

Manage the deployment of allocated resources for optimal performance and provide feedback to the direct line manager on resource requirements.

Monitor staff achievements, perform periodic performance appraisals, and provide guidance, coaching or training to direct reports in performing their delegated duties.

Ensure the performance of duties and conduct of staff is in accordance with the departmental/unit business processes and operating procedures.

Reports

Prepare departmental reports of EMKAN in a timely and accurate manner to meet company and department requirements, policies and standards.

Regulatory and compliance

Adherence to all regulations and control function within the company in order to ensure that governance, Audit, risk and compliance matters are carried out.

Fully adherence to the cybersecurity policies, processes, standards and regulations.

Ensure alignment and adherence to all SAMA requirements and regulations.



4. Qualifications and experience

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in business administration, or any other relevant field (Master’s degree is preferred).

Experience

Minimum of 3-6 years of experience in Project management

Knowledge and Skills

Knowledge of Strategy Formulation, Strategy Execution & Performance.

Knowledge of Project Management and Corporate Strategies and KPIs.

Advanced knowledge of Project Management principles, and relevant regulatory/industry standards.

Knowledge in JIRA.

Fully literate in new technologies.

Excellent written and communication skills in English.

Negotiation skills.
