Financial Analyst

JOB PURPOSE:

Planning annual budgeting activities, analyzing budgets of the Company and ensure reporting the business performance to senior management to meet the strategic objectives of the Company. Assist senior management in all financial analysis activities relating to acquisitions, investments, and divestments. Assist senior management in development and implementation of key financial policies and authority matrix.


ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Control the detailed worksheets of annual budgets, capital budgets and undertake the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual budget versus actual reports and variance analysis.
  • Support in cost analysis, project analysis, POC analysis, costing reports analysis, and perform all necessary calculations to evaluate and analyze transactions and events.
  • Assist the senior manager in the preparation of periodic business forecasts and cash flows.
  • Support the senior manager and manage detailed worksheets for investment analysis, feasibility studies and financial models with sensitivities and key ratios.
  • Support the senior manager to report on business risks on projects and assist in preparation of reports to monitor all project milestones.
  • Conduct monthly detailed financial review with senior manager.
  • Development, review and improve authority matrix and monitor and support implementation.
  • Obtain necessary approvals from the senior management in line with authority matrix.
  • Advise senior management on compliance with the requirements of IFRS/SOCPA and industry best practices.
  • Provide analysis to monitor business performance and permit decision-making.
  • Support senior management and work with IT on implementation of ERP Modules and System Improvements.
  • Support senior management in development of accounting and reporting policies and procedures with appropriate built-in controls and authorization levels.


QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or any other relevant field
  • Minimum 3 – 4 years of relevant experience
  • Preferably CMA or CA
