Job Posting: Procurement Manager
Role Purpose:
The Procurement Manager is responsible for ensuring the timely and cost-effective acquisition of materials, equipment, and services for construction projects. This role ensures the smooth functioning of business operations through strategic procurement planning and efficient vendor management.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Procurement Planning
- Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with project requirements and company objectives.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to determine procurement needs, timelines, and budgets.
Vendor Management
- Identify, evaluate, and select reliable suppliers and contractors capable of meeting project specifications and deadlines.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with vendors to ensure timely delivery, quality assurance, and competitive pricing.
Contract Negotiations
- Lead contract negotiations with vendors to secure favorable terms and conditions.
- Ensure contracts are comprehensive, compliant, and meet legal and regulatory standards.
- Continuously monitor and evaluate vendor performance to drive improvement and resolve issues.
Cost Control and Optimization
- Implement cost-effective procurement strategies to maximize value while minimizing project expenses.
- Analyze market trends, negotiate pricing, and identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality or project timelines.
Procurement Process Improvement
- Continuously assess and improve procurement processes for efficiency, accuracy, and transparency.
- Implement best practices, SOPs, and technology tools such as electronic procurement systems and inventory management software.
Risk Management
- Identify and mitigate procurement-related risks, including supply chain disruptions, quality issues, or regulatory non-compliance.
- Develop contingency plans and alternative solutions to ensure uninterrupted project execution.
Collaboration and Communication
- Collaborate closely with internal departments such as project management, engineering, finance, and legal to ensure alignment and timely completion of procurement activities.
- Effectively communicate with stakeholders to provide updates, address concerns, and ensure project requirements are met.

Necessary Knowledge and Experience
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in a relevant field.
Education and Certification Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
Job-Specific Technical Skills
- Strong knowledge of procurement principles, practices, and regulations.
- Excellent negotiation and interpersonal skills.
- Strong data analysis and decision-making abilities.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills (in both Arabic and English).
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
