Purpose of the Job:
The continuous improvement role is responsible for the ongoing process of identifying, analyzing, and making incremental improvements to systems, processes, products, or services. Its purpose is to drive efficiency, improve quality, and value delivery while minimizing cost, variation, and issues. This encompasses supply chain and the S&OP process. The person in this role will also be part of core projects or activities such as taking on planning new roles and implementing automation or digitization applications.
Basic Functions:
- Embed into an assigned role and document all processes related to it in both English and Arabic versions
- Get the documented process aligned with key stakeholders and approved by line managers
- Identify opportunities for process improvement (gaps), waste removal (risks), and cost reduction (time)
- Plan, facilitate, and execute continuous improvement events as approved by Planning Director
- Teach, lead, and coach cross-functional teams on lean management systems and methodology
- Work with the team to continuously improve processes both on all aspects of supply chain and the S&OP process
- Engage in projects or activities taking on other planning roles or implementing planning related automation projects
Job Functions:
Thoroughly evaluate existing workflows to identify bottlenecks, inefficiencies and areas of improvement
Engage employees, managers and other relevant stakeholders to gather insights and perspectives on process challenges
Based on the analysis and stakeholder input, prioritize the areas that require immediate attention
Establish specific and measurable objectives that align with the identified improvement areas
Create detailed action plans for each improvement area, outlining the steps, responsibilities and timelines for implementing changes
Execute the action plans while closely monitoring progress and ensuring adherence to the established timelines
Regularly measure and evaluate the impact of the implemented changes against the set objectives
Based on the results, identify any gaps or areas that need further improvement
Adjust action plans accordingly, making iterative refinements to continuously optimize processes
Keep all stakeholders informed about the progress of the process improvement initiatives and encourage their ongoing involvement.
Share success stories and celebrate achievements to sustain motivation and engagement
Key Results:
All supply chain and S&OP related processes are completely documented in English and Arabic versions
Gaps and risks identified in all documented process are acknowledged and action plans addressing them are in place
Continues review and evaluation of ongoing processes to meet the changing business tides
Required Education / Experience / Specific Job-related Skills
Years of Experience:
At least three years of experience in the industry.
Education/Training:
University Degree (Supply Chain, Science or Engineering preferred)
Licenses/Certificates:
Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt preferred
