ROLE PURPOSE
The aim is to state the overall significance of the job from the organization’s perspective. To oversee and lead the digitization and automation strategies for business operations, ensuring the continuous improvement of operational efficiency and business model innovation through well-managed policies, procedures, and documentation. All in accordance with the policies and procedures followed within Elm.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES & ACTIVITIES
1. Strategic Leadership and Planning:
• Develop and implement a comprehensive quality and performance strategies that are aligned with Elm’s overall objective and strategy.
• Lead the development and implementation of action plans to achieve the department targets.
• Set clear goals and metrics for quality and performance to drive improvements and achieve progress towards the strategic objectives.
2. Team Leadership and Development:
• Manage and provide guidance to the team to ensure high levels of quality and performance.
• Conduct regular meetings and performance evaluations to create development plans for team members.
3. Digitization and Automation Management:
• Lead the development and execution of strategies for the digitization and automation of business operations.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for automation and process improvement.
• Ensure that all business operations processes are mapped, optimized, and automated where feasible.
• Manage the implementation of new digital tools and platforms to enhance operational performance.
4. Business Operations Policy and Procedure Review:
• Oversee the periodic review of shared business operations policies and procedures to ensure compliance and efficiency.
• Manage the alignment of business operations with regulatory requirements and internal controls.
• Facilitate the dissemination and adoption of updated procedures across business operation department.
5. Business Operations Process Documentation:
• Ensure the accurate documentation of business operations procedures and operational processes.
• Maintain comprehensive records of changes to business operations and workflow management.
6. Business Services Management:
• Lead the strategic planning and continuous improvement initiatives for business operations management services.
• Manage and monitor IT service improvements and process enhancements related to business services.
• Oversee the launch of new customer and partner-related procedures, ensuring smooth integration and optimal outcomes.
7. Operational Business Incubation:
• Lead the development, incubation, and testing of new business models to explore innovative revenue streams and operational efficiencies.
• Assess and evaluate the impact of changes in existing business models, providing strategic recommendations.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to pilot and roll out new business initiatives, measuring performance and refining processes.
Academic and professional qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, management information system, or a related field
• Master’s degree in a related field is preferred
Years and Nature of Experience:
- 10+ years of relevant experience in a related industry
