Job Overview:The PMO Finance Director will be responsible for overseeing the financial management and governance of all projects within the Project Management Office (PMO). This role ensures the alignment of financial strategies with the company’s project objectives and leads financial planning, budgeting, and cost control processes. The PMO Finance Director will work closely with project managers, senior leadership, and cross-functional teams to ensure financial transparency, accountability, and optimized financial performance across all projects.Key Responsibilities:Financial Strategy and Leadership:Develop and implement financial strategies that align with the company's project management goals.Lead financial planning, analysis, and reporting for all ongoing projects.Provide leadership in cost management, risk analysis, and financial forecasting.Budgeting and Forecasting:Lead the budgeting process for projects, ensuring cost efficiency and alignment with project goals.Manage cash flow projections, capital expenditures, and cost controls.Monitor project financial performance against budget and provide regular updates to senior management.Project Financial Governance:Establish and maintain governance frameworks for financial control within the PMO.Ensure compliance with internal controls, policies, and regulatory requirements.Coordinate with auditors to ensure proper audit trails and financial records for projects.Cost Control and Risk Management:Identify potential financial risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize project overruns.Implement and monitor cost control systems and KPIs for projects.Advise project managers on financial risks and ensure prompt corrective action when necessary.Cross-Departmental Collaboration:Collaborate with the CFO, project teams, procurement, and other departments to align financial objectives with project delivery.Ensure accurate reporting of project financials to stakeholders, including investors and senior management.Performance Reporting:Prepare and present detailed financial reports and dashboards on project financial performance.Develop financial models for project scenarios and analyze project returns on investment (ROI).Qualifications:Education:Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field. A Master’s degree or MBA is preferred.Professional certification (CPA, CFA, CMA) is an asset.Experience:Eexperience in finance, with a senior finance leadership role within a PMO or large-scale projects environment.Extensive experience in managing financial aspects of large-scale construction, real estate development, or infrastructure projects.Demonstrated expertise in budgeting, financial analysis, project cost control, and risk management
