We are seeking a skilled and passionate Pastry and Bakery Chef to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in pastry and bakery production, with a creative flair and a dedication to delivering high-quality products.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee the daily operations of the pastry and bakery department, including production, inventory management, and quality control
- Develop and create new pastry and bakery items, while also maintaining and enhancing existing recipes
- Train and mentor pastry and bakery staff, ensuring that they adhere to high standards of food safety and sanitation
- Collaborate with the culinary team to coordinate menu planning and special event catering
- Manage pastry and bakery budgets, including cost control and waste management
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, while upholding all food safety and hygiene standards
- Stay updated on industry trends and incorporate innovative techniques into pastry and bakery production
Skills
- Proven experience as a Pastry and Bakery Chef or similar role
- In-depth knowledge of pastry and bakery techniques, ingredients, and equipment
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Creative vision and a passion for delivering exceptional pastry and bakery products
- Certification from a culinary school or relevant field is a plus
