Purpose of the job
Develop & implement the overall commercial & channel strategies (Modern Trade, Traditional Trade, Wholesale, E-comm & Discounters) to grow in a cost-efficient way a profitable Dairy & Culinary business in KSA. Coordinate & lead the internal S&OP input from the different teams (marketing, key accounts,…) for the Dairy & Culinary business.
Key Accountabilities
1. Commercial strategy
Design and implement in co-operation with the VP Dairy & Culinary the dairy & culinary business commercial strategy with special focus on defining a separate approach for the different channels: Modern Trade, Traditional Trade, Wholesale, E-comm & Discounters.
2. Sales
Deliver and implement the sales strategy across all channels (Modern Trade, Traditional Trade, Wholesale, E-comm & Discounters) for all SADAFCO’s dairy product categories in the GCC-region in such a way that it maximizes top and bottom line results.
3. Marketing
Work with Marketing to develop and execute effectively the marketing strategy and marketing plans to support the development and growth of the dairy & culinary business. Challenge the brand marketing teams on the strategy & support the portfolio management plans.
4. Further cooperation with other functions
To ensure timely and appropriate feedback & coordinate the commercial alignment between all the other departments: Supply Chain (S&OP process,…), Finance (trade marketing budget, category P&L,…) & Manufacturing.
5. Sales organization
To manage, coach, develop, train and motivate a team of trade marketing and business development professionals. Ensure the required number and quality of people, and people management is in line with SADAFCO’s HR policies, in order to enable the realization of the targets.
To maximize the utilization of SADAFCO’s assets: coolers & permanent stands.
6. Finance and Reporting
Ensure budgeting and financial monitoring and reporting according to SADAFCO’s financial policies in order to ensure proper financial management.
Job Requirements
- Educational level: relevant university degree in Business, Marketing or related field
- Minimal 10 years of relevant experience in FMCG, ideally with Dairy expertise
- Relevant experience in business development & channel management in a leading FMCG company
- Commercial experience in the most important different channels: Modern Trade, Traditional Trade and Wholesale, experience in E-comm is a strong plus
- Experience in distribution and channel management
- People management experience; experience in leading a team of senior commercial profiles
- Languages: English; Arabic is a strong plus

Seasoned Sales & Business Development professional with extensive experience within the branded FMCG (ideally also in the dairy sector)
s-on manager with ability to manage relations effectively: cross functional, top & bottom, must be an enabler or connector and able to leverage people and functions to address issues with practical solutions
Good strategic sense, analytical skills and effective negotiation skills
Excellent knowledge of consumer segmentation, market dynamics and development of brand positioning and category development
International astute individual, pro-active, takes ownership, accepts accountability
Ability to work under pressure and handle deadlines
Ability to replace the VP Business Unit in the Executive Committee and towards the CEO
