Team Leader, Production

Ceer - Saudi - Riyadh

Job Purpose:

Lead and provide guidance to General Assembly operators and the production team, ensuring smooth and efficient performance of production processes while maintaining CEER's Manufacturing Operations Divisions’ standards.

This position will also provide Process & Technical support, and guidance for the Manufacturing teams to assure business objectives are met or exceeded in the areas of Safety, People, Quality, Responsiveness, Cost and Environment initiatives.


Roles & Responsibilities:


Team Management:

  • Lead, guide, and oversee the production and GA operator team's activities during a specified shift while ensuring that all activities are carried out in accordance with established procedures, safety regulations, and production objectives.
  • Organizing and coordinating the production and GA operator team's workflow, ensuring a smooth transition between shifts, and optimizing the delivery process to maximize efficiency.
  • Allocate tasks and responsibilities to team members with their individual skills, abilities, expertise, and the specific requirements of the production needs.
  • Perform daily communication meetings with the whole team to share targets and SPQRC KPIs.


Production Management:

  • Monitor the operators work and the production processes activities to verify their adherence to quality standards, efficiency objectives, and production timelines and provide feedback for improvements.
  • Assign manpower, material, and equipment resources wisely to effectively achieve production objectives and ensure efficient utilization of resources to maintain efficient operations.
  • Support in troubleshooting technical or operational equipment malfunctions that may occur during the production process.
  • Responding promptly and efficiently to unforeseen circumstances, disruptions, or urgent events that may occur during the shift that may impact production or the safety of GA Operators.


Process & Technical support:

  • Support all activities to ensure overall achievement of GA shop performance and quality metrics KPI’s.
  • Lead a Safety first culture while ensuring safe work practices and compliance to all local regulatory guidelines are met.
  • Facilitates operational improvement programs in order to create a culture of continuous improvement and lean manufacturing that leads to associate empowerment, KPIs improvement, productivity, elimination of waste, and improvements in safety, quality, maintenance, cost and material flow.
  • Support that Process Quality control strategies are developed, monitored and tracked to ensure robust systems are in place and strictly adhered to.
  • Support the Line balancing/Yamazumi focus on reducing walk paths, combining job elements and cycle time and ergonomic optimization that will increase productivity efficiency and achieve a Cost-Efficient process.
  • Support troubleshooting analysis and Problem-solving process for the technical, operational, or quality issues occurred during production. Apply data-driven and analytical core tools and methods such as PDCA, 5W+2H, 8D, Lean Six Sigma.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address technical challenges, quality-related issues, and explore process improvements in the GA.
  • Support that planned change management activities to avoid impact on Production requirements.


Knowledge Transfer:

  • Develop or Deploy Standardized operation Sheets and conduct and coordinate training sessions in Workstations to ensure that the team members are perform their roles effectively.


External Communication:

  • Work closely with relevant stakeholders (internal and external).
  • Creating sound working relationships with Operations Production & Maintenance, Product Engineering and other cross functional departments as required in order to work together as One Team to achieve great outcomes for the business.
  • Represent CEER and protect its interests in various interactions and engagements and foster positive relationships and promote collaboration with external entities such as clients, partners, stakeholders, and regulatory bodies to advance CEER's goals and objectives.


Compliance:

  • Ensure a clear definition and deployment of the necessary policies, guidelines, systems, processes, procedures, and controls to ensure compliance.


Documentation:

  • Ensure that all GA shop reports (related to Production) are prepared in a timely and accurate manner and meet CEER’s and department requirements, policies, and standards.
  • Provide regular reports on shift performance to Group leader.
  • Maintain organized records of production related activities.
  • Support all core Dynamic Process Control documents: PFD-PFMEA-PCP, SPC (statistical process control), MSA (measurement system analysis), etc.
  • Manage core Production documents: Standardized work (SOS/JES;STS/TIS)
  • Support Productivity documents: cycle times study, line balancing (Yamazumi)
  • Support Machine & Process capabilities studies meet company Cm/Cmk, Cp/Cpk, Pp/Ppk index targets and requirements.



Job Requirements:

Education & Certificates:

  • Technical Diploma (minimum requirement) or bachelor’s degree in mechanical/electrical engineering or any related field (desirable).
  • Six Sigma Yellow or Green belts are desirable.


Experience:

  • Relevant experience of 3+ years in a similar field or position.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Word, Excel)
  • Siemens TeamCenter, PLM, MES, LMS, Torque control system are desirable
  • Statistical Process Control and capability studies software’s are desirable
