Project HSE Manager

Duties and responsibilities

  • Development and implementation of Health & Safety Construction Plan and assure its Compliance in all Projects by established organizations, training & awareness, internal auditing programs allocating the required recourses, establishing required communications between Employees, Health & Safety committee and project Health & Safety Management.
  •  Lead and Manage the Health & Safety Management Team of all projects by advising, directing Health & Safety concerns, and implementing Health & Safety compliance monitoring systems & processes in compliance with Health & Safety Construction Plan, local and international standards to achieve goals First quartile Health & Safety performance.
  •  Management of efficient Health & Safety support for all projects for conducting Health & Safety Reviews, Risk assessments.
  • Assure management of competent, qualified experienced Health & Safety resources to support Health & Safety during all projects construction phase.
  • Manage systematic Health & Safety communication, leadership visibility and Interaction process with the project management team of all projects through workshop sessions, and senior management walkthroughs to maintain and improve the Health & Safety compliance to the optimum standards.
  • Ensure Safety in all projects is maintained and aligned with accordance to health and safety Management system and ensure proper compliance toward Health & Safety is in place from the contractor during the execution of projects

Skills

  • Minimum 12 years’ experience in the practice of Safety Systems implementation in large scale infrastructure projects.
  • Technical Training or Bachelor of Engineering.
  • Must possess at least one of the following international HSE qualifications/trainings: NEBOSH, iDipOSH, iDipNEBOSH, iEnvDipNEBOSH, iCertOSH, iDipNEBOSH, CSP, ASP, CRSP, CMIOSH, GSP, CEP, CIH, QEP, CSM, Advanced Diploma in Industrial Safety (ADIS) or equivalent.
  • Minimum certified NEBOSH & Occupational Health and Safety Administration (OSHA).
  • Must possess at least one of the following HSE certifications (Certified courses) in General Industrial Safety, Construction Safety, Environmental Management, Industrial Hygiene, ISO 14001/ OHSAS 18001 Lead Auditor, NEBOSH, ASSE Certification in global Safety Management or Equivalent courses.
  •  High level proficiency in Safety Engineering Management.
  • English and Arabic language skills, excellent IT skills and possess excellent Communication Skills.
