Job title: Health-Economics and Outcomes Research (HEOR) Lead, Greater Gulf Location: Riyadh Job type: Permanent, Full time About the job Our Team: The HEOR Regional Lead works under the supervision of the Head of Market Access and Pricing on the development of health economic and outcomes evidence to optimise patient access to Sanofi products in Greater Gulf. The role works collaboratively to provide HEOR solutions that support an integrated market access plans. Main responsibilities: Develops submissions for new products or new indications to health authorities to support registration, pricing and reimbursement decisions across Sanofi portfolio (Specialty Care, General Medicines and Vaccines)Maintain up to date knowledge of local HTA guidelines and processes and keep abreast of HTA developments to ensure that the most suitable methods are employed Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders such as the regulatory, commercial and medical teams on development of the submission and submission strategy Project manage the submission and response process and ensure all key stakeholders are kept informed of progress (internal and external)Use medical writing and communication skills to support the development of high-quality abstracts, manuscripts, value story boards and health technology assessment submission dossiers Manage external vendors as required Manage submissions completion and sign off in a timely fashion to meet internal and external deadlines Generates HEOR evidence that demonstrates the value of Sanofi products and ensures optimal access for patients Conduct landscape and gap analyses to support the development of an integrated evidence generation plan Work closely alongside market access leads, medical teams, field based colleagues and the Global Health-Economics Value and Access/Global Market Access teams in developing the evidence/value messages for products to meet the needs of the Greater Gulf markets Conduct high quality, timely evidence generation to support access to Sanofi’s portfolio Provide input into global evidence generation projects to ensure outputs will meet local health authorities needs Collaborate with brand team to secure resource for proposed HEOR projects Consolidate effective HEOR evidence and tools for key products to support pricing and market access, including reimbursement, hospital enlisting, etc. Ensure all evidence generation is conducted in line with Sanofi policy and SOPs Collaborates with new product planning team and global teams to formulate early HEOR plans for pipeline assets Use expertise to inform local value-based assessment of pipeline assets Support development of early evidence generation plans Collaborate with global team on potential early scientific advice projects Stakeholders engagement Create, maintain partnerships and work proactively with decision-makers, payers, government institutions, industry associations (when relevant) in order to shape the environment through health economics and HTA to improve access environment Drive capability building, upskilling initiatives and operational excellence in HEOREconomic intelligence Analyse healthcare financing and macro-economics and deliver tools to support leaders’ interactions with external stakeholders and strategic planning exercises Identify and communicate evolutions and trends in health care environment with potential impact on pricing, reimbursement, formulary listing and value assessment, and co-shape Sanofi Greater Gulf strategic access plans and capabilities Utilize Health Economics studies as a tool to promote value-based and evidence-based pricing Management of Resources Adhere to company-defined processes for the selection of and agreement of commercial terms with vendors Understand and use internal procedures and tools to ensure the compliant and efficient operation of the “Purchase to Pay” process Ethical Leadership Take personal accountability to use personal experience and knowledge, as well as the training and tools provided by Sanofi, to maintain a good knowledge and understanding of all ethics and governance relevant to the role (including the Industry Code of Practice, Sanofi Policies and Procedures and any relevant legal requirements); demonstrate personal leadership in applying these to all work undertaken. Escalate any decisions or seek the support of colleagues or management if personal knowledge and understanding is not at the level required to carry out any part of the role. Escalate any doubts or uncertainties to their supervisor and/or manager About you Higher level degree (masters ) in either Health Economics, Outcomes Research, or Evidence-Based Medicine3-6 years of experience in health economics and outcomes research (HEOR) in pharmaceutical industry/consultancy/academia/health authorities in field of Health Outcomes, Health Economics, or Evidence Based Medicine Demonstrated ability to build relationships, communicate well at all levels and to present complex information economic concepts in a clear and impactful way to the business and external stakeholders Demonstrated experience of project management is essential (good planification and organizing skills)Practical experience of analytical capability to of developing evidence to support credible value-based arguments and commercial decision making Critical evaluation of literature (medical, economic & Qo L)Knowledge of methods and principles of health economics and Health Technology assessment (HTA) reviews. Demonstrated understanding of relevant methods (e.g., observational data, epidemiology, meta-analysis, indirect comparison, biostatistics, probability) to show product value potential. Maintain the confidentiality of sensitive and personal data, both internally and externally. Advance use of Office: Excel, VBA, Tree Age, and statistical package such as Stata, SPSS, SAS. Good understanding of current greater gulf health care systems and market access issues Demonstrated experience of working with cross-functional teams and history of direct exposure to with senior leaders with good communication & influential skills to deliver/translate pharmacoeconomic data/messages to internal and external stakeholders Pursue progress, discover extraordinary Better is out there.
