Investment operations manager

Role Purpose: There is a requirement for seasoned investment operations and asset performance-focused managers to join our investment core team to support its existing and future development and investment pipeline. Role & Responsibilities: While equity and fixed income operations and trade support candidates are also encouraged to apply, the role will be dedicated to overseeing investment operations for real estate private market investments representing an exciting opportunity, while familiarity with unitized funds and the dealing process is advantageous, It is not a prerequisite. Assist in the management of operational processes for full investment life cycle for real estate private investments from onboarding, account opening, due diligence checks, know your client (KYC) documentation, conducting risk and suitability assessment to post-trade compliance and corporate actions processing including capital call execution, drawdown settlements, amendments, transaction tracking, fee management and closing documentation coordination and record keeping. Maintain strong cross-functional relationships, consistent communication, and cooperation with various internal and external groups including assistance in managing, instructing and overseeing third-party vendors including potential administrators, custodians, internal and outsourced provided compliance to ensure all third-party vendors meet contractual service level agreements. Work closely with the finance team to provide sufficient information for the book-keeping and preparation of accounts of the investment companies as well as with collateral management - focus on managing investments and experience managing the collateral process from beginning to end, including valuation, documentation management, reconciliation and settlement. As an independent control function and part of the firm's second line of defense, assist the firm’s compliance function, to prevent, detect and mitigate compliance, regulatory and reputational risk across during liaison with 3rd parties and interact with different business lines and control functions to help strengthen the firm's culture of compliance. A systems-thinker - proven ability to streamline and improve operational processes and procedures design and automate where applicable for optimal risk monitoring and good governance. Knowledge & Experience: Bachelor’s degree in finance, Real Estate, or a related field. Demonstrated proficiency in oral and written English and Arabic.11+ years of experience, at least 5-7 years of relevant experience in investment management middle office operations and trade processing experience for private and public investments.
