This role is responsible for leading the end-to-end management of the company's banking relationships and financial instruments. This includes assessment, planning, and supervision—in alignment with the Treasury Manager—to ensure their efficient use in direct support of the company’s financial and operational objectives.
Key Responsibilities:Spearheaded the implementation and enforcement of corporate treasury policies for all trade activities. Proactively identified gaps and led initiatives to develop and enhance treasury procedures, strengthening financial controls and operational efficiency. Collaborated with the Treasury Manager and Credit Department to develop and maintain accurate rolling cash flow forecasts. Utilized surplus liquidity for short-term investments in the money market, with a specific focus on Sukuk and other Shariah-compliant instruments, to optimize returns on idle cash. Supported the Treasury Manager in cultivating and maintaining strong relationships with banking partners to optimize service levels and negotiate favorable terms. Partnered with cross-functional teams (e.g., AP, AR, Procurement) to analyze and implement strategies for improving working capital metrics and enhancing overall cash flow. Compiled and analyzed monthly treasury data, preparing detailed reports on cash position, liquidity, and financial risk for management review. Ensured strict adherence to all internal control standards and local procedures governing treasury operations. Assisted in managing the company's insurance portfolio to ensure adequate coverage for all identified risks. Supervised the end-to-end processing of all trade finance instruments, including Letters of Credit, Standby Letters of Credit, Letters of Guarantee, and Documentary Collections. Oversaw accurate and timely execution of payments. Fostered a collaborative environment with the credit team and other relevant departments to ensure all treasury and trade finance activities were fully aligned and communicated effectively. Cultivated and maintained strategic professional relationships with the company's authorized banking partners to ensure superior service and negotiate favorable terms. Conducted regular joint reviews of banking terms, conditions, and fee structures with the Treasury Manager to identify cost-saving and optimization opportunities. Advised senior treasury leadership on the optimal number of banking relationships and accounts required to maintain robust transactional control and minimize costs within the KSA region. Implemented a continuous monitoring process to evaluate bank performance against agreed service levels, validating all charges (interest, commissions, value dates) against negotiated terms. Performed periodic risk assessments on all bank counterparties to safeguard company assets and ensure financial stability. Guaranteed full compliance with all Internal Control Standards by implementing and enforcing local treasury procedures and company policies. Championed the development of treasury expertise across Business Unit (BU) functions by leading training sessions and creating knowledge-sharing resources. Actively participated in and contributed to the global treasury community, including annual conferences and workshops, to stay abreast of industry best practices and integrate them into local operations. Managing the company’s investment activities within the Treasury Department. This includes overseeing investment planning, execution, and monitoring to ensure optimal returns while managing risk and maintaining liquidity. The role involves market analysis, portfolio management, compliance with internal policies and external regulations, and supervising junior staff. The Investment Supervisor also maintains relationships with financial institutions and provides regular investment reports to senior management.
Required Experience & Education:Bachelor’s degree in Finance; a Master’s degree is preferred.5–8 years of experience in banking and industrial companies. Proven experience in managing banking relationships (listed twice previously—consolidated here). Strong understanding of trade finance, investments, and treasury operations.
