SRE Specialist / SRE Officer
Location: Al-Ahsa, Saudi Arabia
Work Mode: Full-time, On-site at SIO HQ
Job Summary
We are looking for SRE professionals to support system reliability, performance, monitoring, observability, and incident management. Candidates will be considered for either the SRE Specialist or SRE Officer level based on their experience and technical expertise.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and maintain the availability, performance, and reliability of IT systems and applications.
- Implement and manage SRE, Observability, and Application Performance Monitoring (APM) practices.
- Work with Dynatrace, Instana, or equivalent enterprise monitoring/APM platforms.
- Perform Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and support incident management and resolution.
- Monitor system performance, alerts, logs, and metrics to proactively identify issues.
- Support Unix/Linux environments, including Ubuntu and Red Hat.
- Support CI/CD pipelines and DevOps activities.
- Collaborate with Infrastructure, Database, Cloud, Cybersecurity, and Integration teams.
- Prepare technical documentation, reports, and performance metrics.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of system reliability and operational processes.
Requirements
SRE Specialist
- Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 6+ years of total professional experience.
- Minimum 4+ years of hands-on experience with Dynatrace, Instana, or an equivalent enterprise/Gartner-leading monitoring or APM platform.
- Minimum 1+ year of experience with Unix/Linux environments.
- Minimum 1+ year of experience with CI/CD and DevOps.
- Strong experience in SRE, Observability, APM, RCA, and Incident Management.
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
SRE Officer
- Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Fresh graduates to 5 years of professional experience.
- Basic to good understanding of SRE, Observability, APM, and Incident Management.
- Knowledge of Dynatrace, Instana, or similar monitoring/APM tools is an advantage.
- Knowledge of Unix/Linux and CI/CD/DevOps is preferred.
- Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Expert Engineer Responsibility
One nominated team member will serve as the Expert Engineer, responsible for providing technical oversight of the team s work and deliverables and coordinating across Infrastructure, Databases, Cloud, Cybersecurity, and Integration Architecture.
Candidates with strong technical leadership and cross-functional coordination experience will be preferred for this responsibility.
Preferred Experience
- Previous experience working on KSA government-sector projects is an advantage.
- Experience with enterprise-scale IT infrastructure and applications is preferred.

- Full-time, on-site position at Al-Ahsa.
- Strong written and spoken English communication skills.
- The project requires female staff representation within the team.
- A qualified backup resource may be required for any absence exceeding 3 days.
