The Senior Interior Designer will lead and deliver high-quality interior design solutions for complex, large-scale projects, with a strong focus on airport terminals, premium lounges, luxury hospitality, hotels, and high-end developments. The role requires strong design leadership, technical expertise, client engagement, and multidisciplinary coordination throughout all stages of design delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead interior design development from concept through detailed design, tender, and construction documentation. Develop innovative, functional, and high-quality interior design concepts aligned with client vision, brand standards, and project requirements. Lead interior design packages for airport terminals, VIP/business lounges, luxury hospitality, hotels, and premium public spaces. Prepare and review design presentations, mood boards, material palettes, FF&E selections, and detailed interior packages. Develop and review plans, elevations, sections, details, specifications, and material schedules. Coordinate interior design with architecture, structural, MEP, lighting, acoustics, landscape, and specialist consultants. Review and coordinate FF&E, finishes, millwork, custom furniture, lighting, signage, and specialist interior elements. Ensure design quality, functionality, constructability, and compliance with applicable codes and project standards. Lead design reviews and presentations with clients, stakeholders, consultants, and project teams. Review contractor and supplier submissions, shop drawings, material samples, mock-ups, and technical proposals. Conduct site visits and support construction-stage design coordination and resolution of technical issues. Manage and mentor junior and intermediate interior designers and provide technical and design direction. Monitor design deliverables, quality, resources, and timelines to ensure projects are delivered within agreed schedules. Support value engineering and design optimization while maintaining the required design quality and client vision. Participate in project meetings, design workshops, coordination sessions, and client presentations. Ensure consistency and quality across all interior design packages and project deliverables.
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in Interior Design, Interior Architecture, Architecture, or a related discipline. Minimum 15 years of professional experience in interior design, preferably within leading architecture, design consultancy, or design services organizations. Proven experience delivering airport projects, including terminals, VIP lounges, business lounges, passenger areas, and premium public spaces. Strong experience in luxury hospitality, hotels, resorts, high-end residential, or premium commercial projects. Demonstrated experience managing complex interior design projects from concept through detailed design and construction documentation. Strong knowledge of interior architecture, materials, finishes, FF&E, millwork, lighting, and bespoke interior elements. Experience working with multidisciplinary design teams and coordinating with architectural and engineering disciplines. Strong client-facing experience with excellent presentation and communication skills. Proficiency in Auto CAD, Revit, Adobe Creative Suite, and other relevant design software. Experience with 3D visualization and rendering tools is preferred. Strong understanding of international design standards, building codes, accessibility, fire and life safety, and hospitality/airport requirements. Proven ability to lead design teams, manage multiple priorities, and deliver high-quality work within demanding project schedules. Previous experience with major international design consultants or large-scale PMC/design services projects is preferred. Saudi Arabia/GCC project experience is an advantage.
