About the Role King Salman International Airport Development Company (KSIADC) is seeking experienced Design Quality Assurance Managers across Architectural, MEP, and Electrical disciplines to lead independent design assurance for one of the world’s most ambitious aviation developments. These roles are responsible for safeguarding design integrity, regulatory compliance, sustainability integration, and lifecycle efficiency across major airport assets. The selected candidates will ensure that all consultant and contractor submissions meet international standards while supporting the delivery of future-ready, resilient, and world-class aviation infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities Design Assurance & Compliance Lead independent technical reviews of design packages within respective discipline (Architectural / MEP / Electrical). Ensure compliance with SBC, GACA, ICAO, NFPA, IEC, ASHRAE, IATA and other relevant international standards. Identify design risks, deviations, and integration gaps; enforce corrective actions. Governance & Monitoring Establish structured assurance frameworks, review workflows, and compliance registers. Maintain risk logs, dashboards, and structured executive reporting. Monitor consultant and contractor adherence to quality and performance standards. Cross-Discipline Integration Ensure seamless coordination between Architectural, Structural, MEP, ICT, and Airport Systems. Safeguard operational readiness, maintainability, and lifecycle performance. Support authority approvals and regulatory submissions. Sustainability & Innovation Embed sustainability principles (LEED, energy efficiency, low-carbon systems). Promote digital assurance tools (BIM, dashboards, electronic review platforms). Benchmark against global aviation best practices. Leadership & Stakeholder Engagement Act as subject matter authority within respective discipline. Engage regulators and executive stakeholders confidently. Mentor engineers and contribute to capability building within DQA. Education Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical/Building Services Engineering or relevant discipline. Master’s degree preferred. Professional certifications (LEED AP, Chartered Engineer/Architect, PMP, ISO Lead Auditor, etc.) are highly desirable. Experience Minimum 7+ years in design assurance, QA/QC, or multidisciplinary design management. Experience in mega infrastructure or aviation projects preferred. Strong knowledge of international codes and regulatory frameworks. Proven ability to manage risk, lead technical reviews, and influence senior stakeholders.
