Job Summary
Responsible for the organization, direction, planning and implementation of Operation Services Division (OSD) program, to assure that all hospital and housing Support Services is in order in accordance to established Hospital Policies and Procedures.
Major Duties and Responsibilities
Ensures through his actions, either directly or indirectly, that a superior quality of medical treatment, compassion and understanding is given to every patient served at the Riyadh National Hospital. Provides leadership and guidance to all department section. Develops implements and monitors annual budget of OSD. Develops implements and evaluates goals and objectives of OSD. To establish standard for OSD and its staff in accordance with established hospital policies and procedures.· Inspects and evaluates the condition of the hospital building and recommends changes. Submits monthly report to Hospital Administration and any additional reports as required. Plans work schedules to ensure adequate services for all Department activities. Analyzes and appraises the performance of Department staff annually. Develops a quality plan for procedures and projects and analyzes the outcome based on JCIA standards. Develops and implements a hospital-wide Preventive Maintenance program. Attends meetings as required and participates in and chairs committees as requested. Develops and implements a hospital-wide Safety Program based on OSHA and JCIA standards including drills for emergency preparedness and conduct regular fire safety drills, and monitor appropriate infection control to all Department related issues. Supervises contractors for maintenance programs and reports outcome to hospital administration. Administers the preparation and management of the operating budget for SSD as directed. Prepares periodical report to contain data analysis and recommendation for improvement to administration. Directs on-going education program for staff.· Performs other applicable tasks and duties assigned within the realm of the employee’s knowledge, skills and abilities.· Plan, schedule and direct the work of the department’s staff to meet the hospital objectives.· Recommend criteria for selecting the department's or service’s professional staff and choose or recommend individuals who meet those criteria.· Participate in the recruitment process in his/her department by updating the departmental staffing plan on an annual basis, reviewing credentials of job applicants and recommending hiring.· Provide orientation and training for all staff of the duties and responsibilities for the department or service to which they are assigned.· Establish, implement and maintain continuing professional development programs.· Assure that a regular and systematic monitoring and evaluation of the quality and appropriateness of services rendered within the service is carried out through designated quality assurance mechanisms.· Responsible to monitor and maintain staff performance, by developing annual performance evaluations to test the employees’ competencies and by suggesting training needs and career objectives for employees in the coming years.· Participate in creating the policies and procedures necessary to carry out the mission· Implement Policies and Procedures of the Hospital as well as Rules and Regulations of relevant Government and Health Care Authorities.· Recommend space, medical technology, equipment, staffing, and other resources needed by the department or service and have a process in place to respond to shortages.· Assist in preparation of any required budget reports.· Chair all departmental meetings or appoint a designee to chair meetings in his absence.· Ensures performance measurement and improvement of the outcomes of the department.· Responsible for the motivation and the inspiration of the department staff.

Qualifications:
· Must have Diploma in Management· Preferably BS in Management, Hospital Administration, MS/BS in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical, Electronics & Communication, Biomedical Engineering.· Minimum of ten (10) years post graduate experience in large health care organizations, recent managerial experience.· Ten (10) years post graduate experience in support services position.· Excellent interpersonal communication skills, fluent in English.· Competent Managerial and working knowledge of computer systems.
