Inventory Control | RMU & Overhead Switch Factory
Location: Second industry. Riyadh
Job Summary We are looking for an experienced Inventory Control Supervisor to lead and control inventory operations for Ring Main Units (RMU), Overhead Switches, and medium-voltage electrical equipment.
The role ensures material availability, high inventory accuracy, team supervision, and full compliance with quality, safety, and ISO standards to support uninterrupted production.
Key Responsibilities Inventory & Materials Control Supervise inventory of raw materials including copper, aluminum, steel, insulation materials, switchgear components, CTs/VTs, bushings, fasteners, and packaging Control WIP and finished goods inventory for RMUs and overhead switches Ensure optimal stock levels aligned with production and project schedules Enforce FIFO / FEFO and proper material segregation Supervision & Team Leadership Supervise storekeepers, inventory controllers, and warehouse staff Assign daily tasks and monitor KPIs and SOP compliance Train team on ERP systems, material handling, and safety procedures Receiving, Storage & Issuing Oversee receiving of materials against POs, drawings, and specifications Ensure proper storage conditions for electrical and mechanical components Control material issuance based on BOMs and work orders Systems, Reporting & Accuracy Maintain accurate inventory records in ERP / MRP systems Review stock aging, shortages, excess, and obsolete material reports Achieve and maintain ≥98% inventory accuracy Audits & Continuous Improvement Plan and conduct cycle counts and physical inventories Investigate discrepancies and implement corrective actions Improve warehouse layout, storage methods, and material flow Cross-Functional Coordination Coordinate with production, planning, procurement, quality, and engineering teams Support material planning for new RMU and overhead switch models Manage inventory impact of Engineering Change Notices (ECNs) Quality, Compliance & Safety Ensure compliance with ISO standards, IEC requirements, and EHS policies Control non-conforming, rejected, and quarantined materials Maintain traceability for critical components and finished equipment
Qualifications & Experience Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Supply Chain, Logistics, Engineering, or related field5–8 years of inventory control experience in manufacturing or electrical equipment Minimum 2 years in a supervisory role Experience with switchgear, RMU, or power distribution equipment is highly preferred
