This role is critical for the development, expansion, and conversion of Thermal and Combined Cycle Power Plants. The ideal candidate will bridge the gap between complex mechanical design and strategic project procurement (RFP/RFQ).
About the Role
We are seeking a seasoned Generation Engineer to lead technical initiatives for large-scale Power Generation projects. This role is critical for the development, expansion, and conversion of Thermal and Combined Cycle Power Plants. The ideal candidate will bridge the gap between complex mechanical design and strategic project procurement (RFP/RFQ).
Responsibilities
Technical Leadership: Provide expert engineering and design knowledge for Combined Cycle (CCGT) and Thermal Power Plants, including steam/gas turbines, oil-to-gas conversions, and Balance of Plant (BOP). Documentation & Design: Develop and review high-level technical documentation including PFDs, P&IDs, and General Arrangement (GA) Drawings. Procurement & Tender Management: Lead the preparation of RFPs and RFQs for new generation, expansion, and modification projects. Contractor Oversight: Review technical proposals from EPC contractors and manufacturers, managing technical queries and ensuring compliance with project standards. System Expertise: Oversee critical systems including HRSGs, Desalination/Demineralization plants, cooling water systems, and firefighting/HVAC systems.
Qualifications
15+ Years of Experience specifically within Thermal Power Generation.
Required Skills
Mechanical Mastery: Deep experience with Boilers, Steam/Gas Turbines, pressure vessels, and air/gas compression systems. Software Proficiency: Hands-on experience or strong familiarity with CAESAR II, PVElite, E3D, SP3D, and Auto CAD/Micro Station is highly preferred.
Preferred Skills
Renewable Energy Knowledge: Experience with Solar Thermal or Wind projects is a significant advantage. Communication: Ability to provide complete technical and functional descriptions of complex project requirements to stakeholders and contractors.
