RESPONSIBILITY LEVEL:The QC Inspector –Incoming Material is responsible for ensuring that all receiving materials in thewarehouse are within quality standards and specification. The QC Engineer uses a variety oftechniques and inspection methods to confirm the materials meet quality standards. Methodsinclude visual inspections and measurements. PRINCIPAL DUTIES:· Inspect the materials received in the warehouse as per the Purchase Order, acceptance criteria and any other required documents.· Conduct the sample inspection as per the set procedure.· Put accept / Hold / Reject tag as per the inspection output.· Ensure the nonconforming materials identification and separation.· Contact and report suppliers for the rejected material through JCI online system. Follow up with supplier for 8D analysis and closure.· Chargeback the suppliers for any work done internally for rectification of any incoming material.· Preparation of daily inspection report.· Follow up the hold items with concern department till the resolution within the target date.· Report the weekly and monthly Incoming Quality KPI’s.· Preparation of monthly incoming quality report.· Ensure the activities such a way to deter any nonconforming materials to reach the shop floor.· Additional tasks assigned by Quality Manager.
