Role Purpose
The Project BIM Manager is responsible for overall BIM governance, coordination, and compliance across the project, ensuring that all information is delivered in accordance with the EIR, ISO 19650, and contractual BIM requirements. This role is the single point of accountability for BIM delivery on behalf of the General Contractor.
Key Responsibilities
BIM Governance & Compliance Own and implement the BIM Execution Plan (BEP) and MIDPEnsure compliance with EIR, ISO 19650, Uniclass 2015Manage Common Data Environment (CDE) processes Lead information delivery reviews and approvals
Model Coordination & Quality Oversee multi-disciplinary models at LOD 400 → LOD 500Ensure models are federated, clash-free, and coordinated Approve discipline model submissions prior to Employer issue
Programme, Cost & Planning Integration Coordinate with Planning (4D) and QS (5D) teams Validate model-based quantities and sequencing Support progress tracking using BIM data
Team & Supplier Management Lead BIM Leads, Coordinators, and Specialists Manage subcontractor BIM deliverables and compliance Chair BIM coordination and technical workshops
Handover & Close-Out Oversee delivery of AIM, COBie, IFC, O&M digital data Coordinate with the Asset / COBie Lead for acceptance Support Soft Landings and post-handover obligations
Required Experience & Skills10+ years BIM / Digital Construction experience Proven experience on large-scale or industrial projects Strong knowledge of ISO 19650, EIR, BEP, RACIAdvanced skills in Revit, Navisworks, CDE platforms Strong leadership and coordination capability
