Job Title: Senior Payroll Supervisor Position Reports to: HR Manager Location: Al Khobar, Saudi Arabia
SUMMARY: Responsible for managing end-to-end payroll operations, ensuring compliance with local labor laws, and managing team members. Key responsibilities include calculating complex salaries, leave settlement, managing End-of-Service Benefits (EOSB), and navigating government platforms such as GOSI, QIWA, and the Wage Protection System (WPS).
PRIMARY FUNCTIONS AND ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:Oversee the entire payroll cycle, including calculating allowances, deductions, bonuses, and salary changes to ensure timely and accurate payments. Ensure full compliance with Saudi Labor Law, including managing GOSI transactions (additions/removals) and uploading files to the Wage Protection System (WPS). Calculate and process leave settlements, final settlements and End-of-Service Benefits for separating employees. Maintain and update payroll data within HRMS systems ensuring data integrity and conducting audits, ensure the HRMS system is updated to accurately reflect employee status. Provide training and on-going support to the users of the HRMS system to support development of a 100% error proof system and ensure maximum usage of its capabilities. Ensure all HR processes are reflected in the HRMS system to avoid inconsistency. Manage, train, and supervise payroll staff, reviewing their work for accuracy. Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual payroll reports. Act as the point of contact for employee inquiries regarding salaries and deductions, all Compensation and Benefits operational issues including salary grading, bonuses and variable pay plans. Ensure all job-related updates (salary, promotions, management / supervisor changes etc. input into the HRMS system are carried out in line with the established policies and procedures. Ensure all changes in payroll are based on approvals through the approval matrix and communicated to all relevant parties. Stay updated on industry trends and best practices to continuously improve payroll and compensation processes. Any other activity related to HR payroll.
EDUCATION / CERTIFICATION / KNOWLEDGE:Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field Proficient in Microsoft Excel (Advanced) Excellent in handling HRMS system Deep understanding of HR policies and procedures Thorough understanding of Saudi Labor Law, GOSI, and MHRSD regulations Demonstrated proficiency in the Microsoft Office environment including Word, Power Point, and Outlook.
EXPERIENCE: 7-10 years of experience in payroll and compensation management, with at least 4 years in a supervisory role Experience in handling Payroll in large organization.
SKILLS/ABILITIES:High accuracy in numerical calculations and data entry Ability to handle highly sensitive and confidential payroll data Ability to resolve complex, non-standard payroll issues and discrepancies Excellent interpersonal skills for addressing employee queries and working with senior management Strong verbal and written communication skills Great multi-tasking abilities and attention to detail.
