Location: Saudi Arabia (Major Airports: e.g., Jeddah, Riyadh, Dammam) Employment Type: Full-Time
This position must operate within the scope of the Saudi GACA Ground Services Personnel Work Permit categories and follow GSE operation privileges endorsed for the role (including pushback tractors) as per regulatory guidelines.
Key Responsibilities Aircraft Pushback & Towing:Safely position, connect, and operate pushback tractors/tugs to maneuver aircraft away from gates or other parking positions. Identify appropriate tow bar types (or towbarless connections) and ensure correct attachment to aircraft nose gear Conduct pushback or towing operations according to airline procedures, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and safety protocols. Communicate with flight deck and ramp team (via headset or hand signals) during movement.
GSE Operation & Support:
Operate additional ground support equipment as needed (e.g., baggage tractors, belt loaders, GPUs, ASUs) within licensing scope. Conduct pre- and post-operation inspections of GSE to confirm serviceability and safety. Report equipment defects or service issues promptly to supervisor/technician.
Safety & Compliance:
Adhere strictly to airport safety rules, company SOPs, airline standards, and Saudi aviation authority regulations. Apply proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and airside safety protocols. Ensure aircraft chocks, cones, and clearances are correctly positioned during operations.
Coordination & Documentation:
Coordinate with ramp agents, marshallers, and aircraft handling teams for seamless aircraft turnaround. Maintain accurate records of GSE use, pushback operations, and any incidents or discrepancies.


Qualifications & Experience Education:- High school diploma or equivalent is required.- Technical or aviation diploma/qualification preferred.
Experience & Skills:- Previous experience in airport ground handling, ramp operations, or GSE operation is preferred.- Experience or training specifically on pushback tractors and ground vehicles is highly advantageous.- Strong understanding of safety procedures, airside operations, and aircraft movement protocols.- Effective communication skills (including basic English for coordination and radio use).
Certifications & Permits:- Valid airside driving permit and/or GSE operation permit as required by airport authority (GACA) for pushback tractors and other ground vehicles.- Valid driver’s license (national or equivalent, with endorsements for heavy vehicles).
