1. Job Purpose To lead and supervise all Internal Terminal Vehicle (ITV) operations during the shift, ensuring safe, timely, and efficient container transport between quay, yard, and neighboring terminal. The role ensures optimal deployment of ITV fleets, enforces HSSE standards, and coordinates with vessel and yard supervisors to support uninterrupted containers flow.
2. Key Accountabilities Supervise and coordinate all ITV activities during vessel loading/unloading, yard transfers, and ITT (Internal Terminal Transfer) Deploy and allocate ITV drivers based on operational priorities in coordination with Vessel / Yard Supervisors and planning team. Monitor ITV cycle times and fleet utilization, taking corrective action to minimize delays and idle times. Ensure ITV drivers strictly follow safety regulations, driving routes, speed limits, and PPE requirements. Conduct pre-shift briefings and safety toolbox talks with ITV drivers. Report incidents, unsafe driving, or equipment malfunctions to General Supervisor and HSSE. Provide feedback on ITV driver performance to Operations Training Centre (OTC) for follow-up and retraining when needed. Submit end-of-shift reports covering ITV performance, challenges, and recommendations
3. Qualifications, Experience And Skills High school Diploma in Logistics, Transport, or related field (preferred). Minimum 3-4 years of container terminal or transport operations experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role. Strong knowledge of ITV operations, container flows, and TOS monitoring (ZODIAC preferred). Leadership, decision-making, and disciplinary skills. Good communication skills (English required; Arabic preferred). Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced, 24/7 environment
