Role Summary We are looking for a Junior System Engineer to provide hands-on support for servers, virtualization, storage, backup/DR, and SQL Server database environments. The engineer will support day-to-day operations, ongoing projects, and post‑go‑live stabilization activities.
Responsibilities:• Operate and support servers, virtualization platforms, storage systems, backup, DR, and database platforms• Execute infrastructure and database project activities including builds, upgrades, migrations, and refreshes• Perform database monitoring, backup, restore, and recovery• Support testing, validation, and post-go-live stabilization• Monitor system health, capacity, and performance• Handle infrastructure and database incidents and escalations• Maintain infrastructure, database, and DR documentation• Support application teams with infrastructure dependencies Example Deliverables:• Server and platform build and migration documentation• Database backup, restore, and recovery reports• Infrastructure and database health and capacity reports.• Database related task• Project handover and stabilization documentation• Weekly and monthly activity reports Qualifications:• 4–5 years of experience in infrastructure and platform operations• Experience with Windows Server and/or Linux• Experience with VMware ESXi and/or Nutanix AHV• Experience with backup and DR solutions (On-prem / Baa S)• Basic to intermediate database experience (SQL Server)• Infrastructure certifications are preferred• Good English – Arabic Speaker( preferred)
