Role Overview The Software Development senior Manager holds full ownership of software engineering strategy and delivery. This role leads large, multi-disciplinary engineering teams and shapes the technical direction of multiple platforms and products. This position requires a leader with deep technical credibility, strong people leadership, and the ability to operate confidently in Arabic-speaking, stakeholder-intensive environments. The role reports into executive leadership and carries accountability for large-scale, business-critical delivery outcomes.

Key Responsibilities• Define and execute the software development strategy aligned with organisational goals• Lead, mentor, and scale engineering teams across backend, frontend, mobile, QA, Dev Ops, and architecture• Oversee delivery of complex, enterprise-scale software platforms and products• Establish and enforce best practices across architecture, code quality, security, and performance• Partner closely with Product, Cybersecurity, Infrastructure, and Business leadership• Drive Agile and Dev Ops adoption across teams and programmes• Manage delivery partners, vendors, and budgets where required• Ensure compliance with Saudi regulations, data protection, and security standards• Act as a senior technical advisor to executive leadership

Required Experience & Skills• 12+ years of experience in software development, including senior leadership roles• Proven experience leading large engineering teams and senior managers• Strong expertise in modern software architectures, cloud platforms, APIs, and microservices• Track record of delivering large-scale, mission-critical systems• Deep understanding of SDLC, Agile, and Dev Ops frameworks• Strong executive-level communication and stakeholder management skills• Arabic speaker, written and spoken

Preferred Experience• Experience working in Saudi Arabia or the wider GCC• Exposure to enterprise, regulated, or high-growth environments• Experience supporting large-scale digital transformation initiatives• Familiarity with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud platforms

Education• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline• Master’s degree is an advantage
