Job Title: Sr. Planning Engineer Location: Saudi Arabia
Role Purposeinvolves working closely with various teams within the organization to ensure timely and accurate preparation of tender documents, schedules, and proposals.
DUTIES PREFORMEDKey Accountabilities Key Activities
1. Develop and Implement Project Control Procedures Maintain project control policies, processes, and standards. Maintain comprehensive project plans for tender submissions, including timelines, milestones, and deliverables. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather necessary information and resources for tender preparation.
2. Coordinate and Collaborate with Project Stakeholders Actively participate in coordination meetings with the client, consultant, project team, and subcontractors Conduct site visit to Familiarize himself with site conditions. Coordinate with stakeholders to review and finalize tender documents before submission.
3. Monitor and Manage Project Performance Monitor and track the progress of tender submissions to ensure adherence to deadlines and quality standards. Implement contingency plans to mitigate potential issues during the tender process.
4. Provide Project Controls Expertise and Support Understand the different project control procedures and interfaces for all disciplines Support schedule review meetings and revise schedules accordingly.
5. Continuous Improvement and Professional Development Identify opportunities to enhance project control capabilities and drive innovation. Stay updated on industry trends, market conditions, and regulatory requirements that may impact tender activities. Provide regular reports and updates to senior management on the status of tender planning activities.
JOB SPECIFICATIONSIndustry / Domain Construction Necessary Knowledge and Experience Minimum 6-8 years of experience in project control management, preferably in the construction, engineering, or infrastructure industries Proficient in using project management software (e.g., Primavera, Microsoft Project) Excellent data analysis and reporting skills, using tools like Microsoft Excel and Power BIProven ability to lead and manage a team of project controllers, schedulers, and cost analysts Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills PMP or other relevant project management certification preferred Education and Certification Minimum Requirements Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or other relevant project management certification preferred Job Specific Technical Skills Implement project control policies, processes, and standards Skill in preparing and managing the Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) and baseline schedules Proficiency in coordinating with the site team to optimize resource utilization Expertise in monitoring and managing project performance, including cost and schedule variances Capability to prepare and maintain project control reporting documents. Ability to support schedule review meetings and revise schedules accordingly Skill in tracking and reporting on resource utilization and project progress.
