Job Details

Job Purpose The Scaffolding Coordinator is responsible for planning, coordinating, and overseeing allscaffolding activities. The role supports safe execution of construction, maintenance, andturnaround activities. Key Responsibilities• Coordinate, plan, and control all scaffolding activities within Sadara project sites.• Ensure scaffolding works comply with Sadara Chemical Company, and applicableinternational codes (OSHA / BS / EN).• Review scaffolding requirements based on work scope, permits, and job plans.• Coordinate closely with construction, maintenance, shutdown, and turnaround teams.• Supervise scaffolding supervisors, foremen, and scaffolders to ensure safe execution.• Ensure scaffolding materials are inspected, tagged, certified, and fit for purpose.• Conduct routine inspections of erected scaffolds to ensure stability, safety, andcompliance.• Ensure all scaffolding activities follow approved Method Statements, Risk Assessments(RAMS), and Permit to Work (PTW) systems.• Maintain accurate records of scaffold registers, inspection reports, and compliancedocumentation.• Coordinate with Sadara HSE, QA/QC, and project management teams.• Participate in site safety audits, inspections, and incident investigations related toscaffolding.• Support major maintenance, shutdown, and turnaround (T&I) activities.• Ensure scaffolding resources are available as per project schedules to avoid delays. Health, Safety & Environment (HSE)• Promote a zero-incident safety culture.• Conduct toolbox talks and safety briefings related to scaffolding activities.• Immediately stop unsafe acts and report hazards or near misses.• Ensure full compliance with Sadara PTW and isolation procedures. Qualifications & Certifications• Diploma or equivalent qualification (Engineering / Construction preferred).• Certified Scaffolding Coordinator / Supervisor.• Scaffolding Inspector Certification (mandatory).• NEBOSH / OSHA or equivalent HSE certification (preferred).• Sadara / Saudi Aramco approval or experience is highly preferred. Experience Requirements• Minimum 5–8 years of experience in scaffolding within petrochemical, oil & gas, refinery, orindustrial plants.• Proven experience working in Sadara, Saudi Aramco, SABIC, or similar large industrialfacilities is an advantage.• Strong experience in shutdowns, turnarounds, and maintenance projects. Skills & Competencies• Strong knowledge of industrial scaffolding systems (Tube & Fitting, System Scaffolding).• Excellent understanding of Sadara and Saudi Aramco safety standards.• Ability to read and interpret scaffolding drawings and plans.• Strong coordination, leadership, and communication skills.• Ability to work in a high-risk industrial environment under strict safety controls.• Good command of English (Arabic is an advantage).
