Location Turaif Core Responsibilities Undertake visual inspections of track assets to identify and report defects that could cause safety incidents, i.e., broken rails, detailed inspection for switches & crossings, etc. Maintain knowledge of Track inspection and maintenance duties in order to assist the Team Leader and Inspectors in completing maintenance activities. Maintain knowledge of preventive, corrective, and emergency maintenance and repair work as required. Assist in track condition inspections and the repairs required for defects. Ensure work site is maintained in a clean and safe condition and that the work has minimal impact on the environment. When required, accurately complete all required documentation and data entry. Use hand and powered tools (small plant) required to maintain the track. Lead teams safely in all aspects of Track Maintenance; follow direction from the Section Supervisor or Assistant Section Supervisor so that work is undertaken safely, compliantly, and optimizing productivity. Establish and maintain appropriate safety arrangements for staff under your control, including Contractors. Carry out work safely and in accordance with the safe systems of work procedures, method statements, or other relevant instructions. Undertake work and associated duties for which you are trained and competent. Undertake and direct work activities in a safe and efficient manner and in accordance with all relevant standards. Control and check the quality of work undertaken and confirm assets are compliant to standards. Check that the staff under your control have appropriate and valid competencies. Check that vehicles, plant, tools, equipment, and materials under your control are fit for use and are used, stored, and disposed of correctly. Accurately report all work completed/not completed and produce/maintain records as required. Adhere to company policies and procedures. Required Experience & Competencies Safety Inspections: Trained and competent in conducting track safety inspections including, but not limited to: Basic Visual Inspections, Switch and Crossing inspections, and RCF (Rolling Contact Fatigue) inspections as detailed in organizational standards. Technical Skills: Trained and competent in identifying and repairing track geometry faults. Installation: Experience in installing all track components including switches, crossings, defective rails, and ballast renewals/replenishment. Standards: Knowledge and experience in applying relevant track standards to enable continued operations, specifically as detailed within Competency and Training in Track Engineering SAR 006 201 2 089 or similar standards. Implementation: Experience of implementing track standards, processes, and procedures. Problem Solving: Ability to respond to faults and identify problems. Qualification Must have bachelor degree in mechanical or Civil Must have Saudi Engineering Council.
