Job Title: Estimation & Quantity Surveyor Engineer (Joinery & Furniture)
About the Role:
We are seeking a meticulous and commercially-minded Estimation & QS Engineer to join our technical team. As a leading regional player in the Joinery & Furniture industry, we need a professional who can effectively bridge the gap between design intent and financial feasibility across high-end projects.
Key Responsibilities:
* Comprehensive Estimation: Lead the pricing strategy for Hospitality (FF&E), Corporate Offices, and High-end Residential projects.* Technical Take-offs: Perform accurate quantity take-offs from shop drawings, sections, and mood boards.* BOQ Development: Generate detailed Bills of Quantities including raw materials, hardware, and specialized finishes.* Value Engineering: Identify opportunities for cost optimization while maintaining design integrity and quality standards.* Rate Analysis & Breakdown: Develop detailed unit rate analysis considering labor man-hours, machine time, factory overheads, and wastage factors.* Variations Management: Identify, price, and manage change orders (Variations) throughout the project lifecycle to ensure accurate billing for additional works.* Vendor Sourcing: Collaborate with procurement to obtain and compare competitive quotations from local and international suppliers for specialized materials.* Site & Logistics Assessment: Incorporate site conditions, installation complexities, and logistics costs into the final estimate.
Requirements:
* Education: B. Sc. in Architecture, or Interior Design.* Experience: 3–5+ years of proven experience in Joinery & Furniture estimation.* Skills: Expert level in MS Excel and high proficiency in Auto CAD.* Knowledge: Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and material specifications.
