Channel Sales Manager – Sports Nutrition Role Purpose The Sales Manager – Sports Nutrition is responsible for driving revenue growth, expanding market presence, and managing key accounts across the sports nutrition portfolio (e.g., protein powders, supplements, functional foods, hydration products). The role focuses on developing sales strategies, leading the sales team, and building strong relationships with retailers, pharmacies, and specialty stores
Key Responsibilities Sales & Revenue Growth Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve volume, value, and market share targets in the sports nutrition category Identify new business opportunities in gyms, fitness centers, pharmacies, specialty nutrition stores, and online platforms Manage pricing, promotions, and trade offers in alignment with brand and margin objectives Monitor sales performance and take corrective actions to close gaps Key Account Management Build and maintain strong relationships with key accounts, distributors, and strategic partners Lead negotiations, contracts, listings, and annual business plans with major customers Ensure optimal product availability, shelf visibility, and execution of in-store activations Team Leadership Lead, coach, and motivate the sales managers and sales team to deliver high performance Set clear targets, KPIs, and territory plans for sales team Conduct regular field visits, performance reviews, and capability development sessions Market & Category Management Track market trends, competitor activity, and consumer behavior in sports nutrition Provide insights on new product launches, pack sizes, and innovation opportunities Collaborate with marketing and product teams on campaigns, sampling, and athlete/fitness influencer initiatives Forecasting & Reporting Prepare sales forecasts, budgets, and demand plans Analyze sales data, ROI on promotions, and customer performance Provide regular sales reports and strategic recommendations to management
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) Sales revenue and volume growth Team Management, coaching, performance, and target achievement Individual Brand`s targets and KPIsMarket share within sports nutrition category Distribution expansion and numeric/weighted coverage Trade spends efficiency and profitability
Qualifications & Experience Bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing, Nutrition, or a related field2-3+ years of sales leadership experience, preferably in sports nutrition, FMCG, pharma, or health & wellness Proven experience managing key accounts and leading sales teams Strong understanding of fitness, supplementation, and active lifestyle consumers Talent & Experience must be in KSA market
