Role Description We are seeking a highly motivated and creative Curriculum & Content Developer for a remote contract role, responsible for designing and developing high-quality programming education content for children and youth. In this role, you will play a critical part in shaping the learning journey of young learners by transforming complex programming concepts into engaging, age-appropriate, and easy-to-understand educational experiences. You will collaborate closely with educators, developers, designers, and product teams to ensure content quality, pedagogical effectiveness, and alignment with Ai School’s educational vision.
Key Responsibilities Design and develop structured programming curricula for children and youth (ages 9+) Create engaging lesson plans, learning objectives, assessments, quizzes, and hands-on coding activities Develop beginner to intermediate programming courses (e.g., Scratch, Python, web basics, AI fundamentals, or similar) Translate complex technical concepts into simple, child-friendly explanations and storytelling-based lessons Write, review, and edit educational and technical documentation to ensure clarity and accuracy Ensure all content aligns with learning outcomes, curriculum standards, and best practices in instructional design Collaborate with cross-functional teams (educators, designers, developers, and product managers) Continuously improve content based on learner feedback, performance data, and platform analytics Stay up to date with trends in programming education, EdTech, and child-centered learning methodologies
Qualifications & Skills Proven experience (2:3 Years) in curriculum development and educational content creation, preferably in programming or technology-related subjects Strong background in instructional design and technical writing Ability to simplify abstract or advanced programming concepts for young learners Excellent written and verbal communication skills Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Preferred Skills & Experiencecreating content and Experience teaching for children or youth education Familiarity with programming languages or tools such as Scratch, Python, Java Script, or block-based coding platforms Knowledge of EdTech platforms, digital learning tools, or LMS environments Experience with gamified learning, project-based learning, or interactive content design Passion for education, technology, and youth development
