Job Description We are looking for a Data Governance Engineer to join our analytics and data engineering teams and play a key role in building trusted, high-quality, and well-governed data assets across the organization. You will design, automate, and enforce data governance and data quality frameworks while working closely with data engineering, analytics, and business stakeholders to ensure reliable and compliant data pipelines.
Job Responsibilities Design, build, and maintain data governance and data quality frameworks across enterprise data platforms. Monitor, measure, and report data quality benchmarks, ensuring adherence to defined standards. Implement data profiling, metadata management, and data lineage solutions to enable trusted data usage. Develop automated, reusable ETL/data pipelines with embedded validation, audit, and governance controls. Ensure data compliance, integrity, and traceability across on-prem and big data environments. Collaborate with stakeholders across technical and business teams to align data governance with business needs. Support governed data warehousing and advanced data modeling initiatives.
Job Requirements
Education & Experience Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.5+ years of experience in Data Engineering with a strong focus on data governance and enterprise data management. Proven experience delivering complex, cross-functional data projects. Technical Skills Strong proficiency in SQL and Python, with a solid understanding of data structures and algorithms. Hands-on experience with Big Data technologies (Hadoop, Spark, Kafka). Experience with data governance and data quality tools such as Collibra, Informatica (EDC/IDQ), IBM Info Sphere, or SAP Information Steward. Strong knowledge of ETL/ELT pipeline design, data validation, metadata capture, and audit controls. Experience with Teradata, governed data warehousing, and advanced data models. Experience managing Cloudera Data Lakes and storage formats (Parquet, ORC, Avro). Understanding of MDM concepts and tools (e.g., Informatica or IBM MDM). Familiarity with data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau) for reporting data quality and governance KPIs. Strong understanding of on-prem infrastructure and enterprise data centers.
