Job Summary:The BMS Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing Building Management Systems that improve operational efficiency and occupant comfort. This role involves project management, system integration, and collaboration with various stakeholders to enhance building performance.
Key Responsibilities:Design and implement BMS solutions for new and existing buildings, ensuring compliance with industry standards. Analyze system performance data and develop strategies for energy efficiency and operational improvements. Collaborate with architects, contractors, and facility managers to integrate BMS with other building systems (HVAC, lighting, security, etc.). Conduct system testing and validation to ensure functionality and reliability. Provide training and support for end-users to maximize the effectiveness of BMS installations. Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to BMS hardware and software. Prepare and maintain project documentation, including drawings, specifications, and reports. Stay informed about technological advancements in building automation and recommend upgrades or improvements.
Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, or related field). Proven experience in designing and implementing BMS, preferably in commercial or industrial settings. Knowledge of building automation protocols (e.g., BACnet, Modbus, Lon Works). Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities. Familiarity with energy management systems and sustainability practices. Experience with Auto CAD or similar design software is an advantage.
