Business Development Manager
*Company Overview:*A leading construction company specialized in large-scale infrastructure projects (water networks, water transmission, desalination, sewage networks, lifting stations, and related mega projects) is seeking to hire an experienced *Business Development Manager* to drive the company’s growth in the GCC market, with a primary focus on the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Key Requirements* *Engineering degree* (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, or related discipline) from a recognized university.* *Minimum 25 years of total experience* in construction and infrastructure projects.* Solid experience in the *GCC region, with **at least 10 years in Saudi Arabia*, specifically in: * Water transmission and distribution projects. * Desalination-related projects. * Sewage networks and pipelines. * Pumping / lifting stations and treatment / desalination plants.* Proven experience in:
* Developing and implementing business development strategies in the infrastructure and water sectors. * Identifying, evaluating, and securing new project opportunities (EPC, PPP, concessions, long-term O&M, etc.). * Building and maintaining strong relationships with *government and semi-government entities*, utilities, and key decision-makers.* Strong commercial and contractual awareness, with the ability to coordinate with internal departments (tendering, technical, finance, contracts, legal) to support winning strategies.* Demonstrated *leadership and business management skills*, including:
* Setting targets and business plans. * Leading negotiations and partnership discussions (JVs, consortiums, MOUs). * Representing the company in high-level meetings, conferences, and industry events.* Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.* *Fluent in English* (spoken and written). Arabic is an added advantage.* *Nationality:* Saudi nationals are preferred.
### Main Responsibilities* Develop, lead, and implement the company’s *business development strategy* in Saudi Arabia and the wider GCC region.* Identify new business opportunities in infrastructure, water, sewage, and related mega projects (including PPP and long-term partnerships).* Build, maintain, and expand a strong network of relationships with: * Government and semi-government entities. * Utilities, consultants, and major private sector clients. * Strategic partners, JV partners, and key subcontractors.* Monitor and analyze market trends, upcoming tenders, and regulatory changes affecting the water and infrastructure sectors.* Work closely with the Tendering and Proposals teams to:
* Select target projects aligned with the company’s strategy and capabilities. * Shape winning strategies and value propositions for key bids. * Support negotiations and clarification meetings with clients and consultants.* Lead or support negotiations related to MOUs, JV agreements, consortium agreements, and strategic partnerships.* Prepare periodic business development reports for top management, including pipeline status, key opportunities, risks, and recommendations.* Represent the company in exhibitions, conferences, and official meetings to enhance corporate image and market presence.### Benefits* Competitive salary package and incentives commensurate with experience and qualifications.* Opportunity to play a leading role in the company’s expansion in the Saudi and GCC infrastructure markets.* Professional working environment within a reputable and growing construction company.
