Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced NOC Manager to lead the setup and management of our Network Operations Center (NOC). The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in establishing a NOC unit, including planning manpower requirements, selecting network hardware, and integrating cutting-edge technologies. This role also involves collaborating with senior management on NOC-related projects, contributing to pricing strategies, and developing technical proposals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, establish, and manage the complete setup of a Network Operations Center (NOC) from inception to operation.
- Determine manpower needs and recruit, train, and manage a skilled NOC team.
- Identify and procure network hardware, tools, and technologies to support the NOC’s operational requirements.
- Develop and implement processes, policies, and best practices for monitoring, incident management, and network optimization.
- Collaborate with senior management to support NOC-related projects, including cost analysis, pricing strategies, and preparing technical proposals.
- Ensure the NOC meets organizational goals for uptime, performance, and reliability.
- Monitor network performance, analyze trends, and proactively address potential issues to ensure uninterrupted service delivery.
- Coordinate with vendors, suppliers, and internal teams for seamless integration of systems and services.
- Provide regular reports and insights on NOC performance, project status, and key metrics to higher management.
- Stay updated on the latest advancements in network technologies and best practices to continuously enhance NOC capabilities.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field. A master’s degree is an advantage.
- Minimum of 8–10 years of experience in network operations, with a proven track record of setting up and managing NOC units.
- Expertise in manpower planning, network hardware procurement, and technology implementation.
- Strong knowledge of networking protocols (e.g., TCP/IP, BGP, MPLS) and monitoring tools (e.g., SolarWinds, Nagios, Zabbix).
- Demonstrated experience in preparing technical proposals and pricing strategies for NOC-related projects.
- Exceptional leadership, organizational, and communication skills, with the ability to lead diverse teams.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting and optimizing network performance in large-scale environments.
- Relevant certifications such as CCNP, CCIE, ITIL, or PMP are highly desirable.
