Position Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic and results-oriented Business Development Manager to lead our representative office in Africa. This role is crucial for driving growth and establishing strategic partnerships in the region. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of the financial services landscape, particularly in export and trade finance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Market Analysis: Conduct comprehensive market research to identify opportunities for expansion and assess competitive landscapes in the region.
- Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including government agencies, financial institutions, and businesses.
- Strategic Development: Develop and implement strategies to promote financial products and services that support local businesses in export and trade activities.
- Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams to align regional strategies with overall organizational goals, ensuring that local needs are met.
- Networking: Represent the organization at industry events, conferences, and seminars to enhance visibility and establish a robust network.
- Reporting: Prepare and present regular reports on market trends, business performance, and strategic initiatives to senior management.
- Compliance: Ensure all business activities comply with local regulations and organizational policies.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or a related field; MBA is a plus.
- Minimum of 6 years of experience in business development, ideally within the financial services or export finance sectors.
- Strong understanding of the African market dynamics and trade finance regulations.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to influence at all levels.
- Proficiency in English; knowledge of French or Arabic is an advantage.
- Willingness to travel within the region as needed.
