Programme Director Mission Services<br/><br/>Salary: Competitive<br/><br/>Location: Saudi Arabia,Riyadh<br/><br/>JOB PURPOSE<br/><br/>BAE Systems is the UK Government’s nominated Prime Contractor under the Government-to-Government arrangements that are in place to provide equipment, support and training to Saudi Arabia. We provide maintenance of Royal Saudi Air Force (RSAF) aircraft and train RSAF and Royal Saudi Naval Force personnel safely in a training environment in how to use their aircraft, equipment and weapons.<br/><br/>BAE Systems Saudi Arabia is committed to supporting the Saudi Arabian National Agenda including Saudisation and the training and development of Saudi National capability through the growth of the Saudi National Partner Companies thereby reinforcing Industrialisation and Partnerships.<br/><br/>JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES<br/><br/>Reporting directly into the VP Salam, the Program Director – Mission Services is a senior member of the Salam Senior Management Team. The jobholder will be accountable for the successful delivery of the Mission Services Contract Status Review (CSR) and related Salam Electronic Warfare Operational services.<br/><br/>Lead the LTEWP UK programme working alongside the MS&I Programme Engineering Manager (PEM) to deliver the programme and resource requirements.<br/><br/>Accountable to deliver the Salam Mission Services CSR and all corporate reporting requirements in the UK including all aspect of Governance across the programme.<br/><br/>Programme manage LTEWP in UK including contract reviews, resources requirements, CSR, Scheduling, SRAs, Risk & Opportunities and reporting directly into VP - Salam in KSA.<br/><br/>Act as primary leadership conduit between the KSA and UK based LTEWP teams to integrate and deliver the programme effectively.<br/><br/>The role holder shall possess excellent leadership and customer/supplier management skills/behaviours and utilise extensive military and operational experience to provide lead to the delivery of the Localising Typhoon Electronic Warfare Programming (LTEWP) programme.<br/><br/>The job holder will be a key contributor to the successful implementation of the BAE Systems industrialisation strategy for Saudi Arabia and support to Vision 2030. The Program Director – Mission Services is therefore charged with driving the program into the value chain and focusing specifically in unlocking issues that influence the delivery of Saudi Industry, post Capability Insertion.<br/><br/>The post holder will work to optimise career opportunities for Saudi nationals, transferring key expertise whenever feasible and ensuring that Salam develops and delivers significant indigenous capability and value to Saudi Arabia.<br/><br/>As part of the Salam SLT the Program Director – Mission Services shall have additional responsibility for enacting the agreed company strategy across the Salam organisation and will contribute to the successful delivery of the IBP.<br/><br/>The post holder shall have responsibility for maintaining military Customer interfaces within the program, taking the necessary action within the program scope and providing advice to the VP and SLT leads on all relevant Customer matters. The role also leads/supports Customer engagement as appropriate in conjunction with the VP and SLT leads<br/><br/>RECRUITMENT SPECIFICATION<br/><br/>Member of the BAESSA and UK Senior Leadership Teams (SLT)<br/><br/>Strong interpersonal skills;<br/><br/>Calm under pressure;<br/><br/>Comfortable in a demanding customer environment;<br/><br/>Able to build relationships;<br/><br/>Ability to understand and simplify and complex environment;<br/><br/>Accountability for designated project area of responsibility;<br/><br/>Working with and encouraging virtual team of diverse and culturally different employees in pursuit of producing a consolidated and coherent programme;<br/><br/>Personal accountability / visibility to the Salam management team level for project reporting.<br/><br/>Experienced in planning, implementing and leading large complex, high value, projects involving multiple and senior stakeholders;<br/><br/>The jobholder will be expected to be pragmatic and flexible in their approach to both management of people and the role. Must be comfortable working across boundaries often found in larger organisations;<br/><br/>Excellent leadership, relationship and stakeholder management skills required including the ability to motivate and inspire others at all levels;<br/><br/>A track record of developing strong, constructive relationships with senior customer personnel;<br/><br/>Work as part of a complex matrix organisation across the Salam Capability and LTEWP team directing activities and resources both internally and within the shared services.<br/><br/>As a member of the Salam SLT, the job-holder will be expected to actively contribute to the wider management and direction of the programme;<br/><br/>A good understanding of the Ministry of Defence, MoDSAP, the Armed Forces and other key stakeholders including external/internal Supplier and Vendors, within the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and methods of operation including budgeting and procurement approaches;<br/><br/>An entrepreneurial, strategic and global thinker comfortable working with complexity, ambiguity, tension and flexible boundaries;<br/><br/>An extensive and broad knowledge of supply chain management in the defence and/or commercial sector;<br/><br/>Support the Senior Management to develop vision and convert into meaningful goals for others;<br/><br/>Develop and direct strategies to promote Salam performance and maintain our strong relationship with the SPO and RSAF;<br/><br/>Develop individuals to exhibit role model behaviours across the business areas.<br/><br/>Demonstrate collaborative working and commitment to Diversity and Inclusivity by leveraging diverse perspectives<br/><br/>Set clear expectations of performance and review it openly and honestly taking personal interest in the development and well-being of the team.<br/><br/>Recognise individual and team performance in a timely manner.<br/><br/>Adhere with mandated Air Sector process and timescales – including absence management / PDR completion / Personal Development plans and all mandated training.<br/><br/>Maintain compliance the Operational Framework - functional mandates, corporate safety policy, ethics and business conduct.<br/><br/>Proactive engagement with key KSA, UK, Europe partners/stakeholders including but not limited to Leonardo, AEC, MASS Consultants and QinetiQ to ensure they meet the highest standards in relations to the program;<br/><br/>Develops and drives the operational excellence with the SLT and functional leads.
