King Fahd University of Petroleum & Minerals (KFUPM), a leading engineering university in the Middle East, is seeking highly motivated and qualified Saudi candidates for full-time faculty positions in the Bioengineering Department. We are inviting applications for Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor roles based in Dhahran, Saudi Arabia. Department Overview and Research Focus

The Bioengineering Department at KFUPM is a new and rapidly growing department, offering both Bachelor of Science (BSc) and Master of Science (MSc) degrees in bioengineering and life sciences. We are looking for candidates with a background and/or degree in Bioengineering, Biomedical Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering, possessing expertise in one or more of the following research areas:

• Bioinformatics: Biomarkers Discovery, Biologics Design, Personalized Medicine, Artificial Intelligence (AI).
• Biosystems: Biodevices, Diagnostic Assays, Biosensors, BioMEMS, Medical Technologies.
• Biomaterials: Nanomedicine, Drug Delivery Systems, Nanovaccines, Tissue Engineering.
• Other Areas: Biomechanics, Mechanobiology, Applied mechanics, Applied dynamics, and/or Biomimetics.

Key Responsibilities

Faculty members are expected to contribute significantly to the department through various academic and research activities. Key responsibilities include:

• Conducting cutting-edge research in specified areas, aiming for publication in high-impact journals and securing external funding.
• Developing and teaching core undergraduate and graduate courses in bioengineering, ensuring effective delivery and student engagement.
• Supervising graduate students, providing guidance and mentorship throughout their research journey.
• Contributing to departmental growth and development through committee participation, outreach activities, and collaboration with colleagues.
• Maintaining active professional networks and engaging in scholarly activities beyond research and teaching.

Required Qualifications

Candidates for these faculty positions must meet the following criteria:

• A ** in bioengineering or a related field.
• A strong record of research and scholarship.
• A commitment to teaching and mentoring students.
• Experience in working in a collaborative environment.
• Fluency in English, as it is the medium of instruction at the University.
