About KBR and the Role

KBR, Inc. is seeking a Sr. Technical Professional Electrical to join our team in Al Khobar, Eastern region. This full-time position is central to the study, design, specification, and service delivery for a wide range of electrical and electronic systems within our projects.

Role Overview and Scope

The Sr. Technical Professional Electrical operates under general supervision, performing all conventional aspects of the functional area. This role requires the ability to devise new approaches to problems encountered, planning, scheduling, and conducting work that demands independent evaluation, selection, and adaptation of engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria. The scope includes critical systems such as power generation, transmission and distribution, power systems performance and control, cabling and wiring, lighting, motor control centers, communications systems, cathodic protection, grounding lightning protection, and heat tracing.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform engineering work involving conventional practices, including those with complex features such as conflicting design requirements, unsuitable conventional materials, and challenging coordination needs.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to designers and less experienced engineers.
• Ensure that all job tasks are executed correctly, contributing indirectly to cost containment, operational efficiency, and profitability.
• Potentially lead a functional area on smaller projects or a segment of larger projects.
• When acting as a lead, plan, budget, organize, coordinate, and control the project scope.
• Conduct employee performance appraisals and actively coach and develop lower-level professionals.

Qualifications and Experience

• An undergraduate degree in Engineering.
• A minimum of 4 years of related experience, with average experience typically ranging from 6-10 years.
• Demonstrated professional experience sufficient to assure competence as a fully trained professional.
• Broad knowledge of engineering precedents.
• Certification as a Licensed/Chartered Professional Engineer is preferred.
